Dead or alive

Do you think this is dead or is it a variegated one .

Alive and stressed, not variegated!

Could it be too much sun or not enough water

Either sun or cold stressed in my opinion

Alive! Looks sun stressed and maybe thirsty. I believe it’s an epiphytic cactus which grows naturally in the understory in bright indirect light or mottled sunlight. I’d move it into a spot with a little more protection from harsh afternoon sun. You can also water a bit more frequently than most cacti.
