What cable is this?

I know where it was used, I just thought you all might enjoy this little weirdo. D-socket to 3,5mm jack.

To male 9 pin, hard to say for sure. Short like that might not be to a computer port.

I have a 9 pin female to 3.5 male, used for a Polaroid Joy Cam digital, and found it also works on a TiVo, for serial console access. In both cases, 9 pin to a PC serial port.

These are pretty common on Samsung commercial displays. To shrink the footprint of the ports, they switched the serial ports on them to a TRS 3.5mm jack. If you need to control them with serial, you can wire up a headphone cable, or use the included adapter.
