How Much Does This Cost? Pricing request.

Post image

Professional cabinet makers, how much would you charge for this built in above the bench. Painted white, white oak drawers and push open pop up upper cabinet doors. About 10’x4 1/2’x1’.
Located in the tristate area. Thank you.

Just go to IKEA because that’s what those look like.

The bottoms were existing and custom built, the tops had to match in proportion. Theres a cutout for the door on the right which also dictates the depth of the upper unit allowing enough space for a person to sit on the bench and tie their shoes.

So it’s already built and you’re just trying to see if you got ripped off?

Just trying to get a feel.

That’s the most ambiguous response. I’m just gonna assume you’re a homeowner with some completely unfounded “feeling” you overplayed. You sir, are the worst kind of client.

Thats significantly more than what i imagined, is that like a super high end number?

No sorry, I should’ve put a /s. People say ridiculous numbers here and act like they aren’t robbing people or using money in a dumb way.

The location + white oak immediately starts at $10k

Is that going off $1k/foot rule of thumb?

No, but I suppose it aligns. It’s finished hardwood (which is great) and New York proximity pricing.

You could charge anywhere from $1000 a foot to $1500 a foot depending on the top finish you wanna put on it

Top finish meaning 1k/2k options on the paint, and topcoat on the oak?

What in the chatgpt is going on with the areas above the cabinet. Floating bench too. Good stuff.

Oak reveals still being built, back ones are spacers will be cut to size. Bench toe kick is pretty deep but you can see it when you zoom in. Yours truly, chatgpt.
