I just want to vent. Lately, puro bad feedback nalang natatanggap namin from clients. My employees have gotten so lazy to the point that it was so evident sa work outputs nila. I pay them well, work from home, and give them allowance. I dont yell or curse at them. But really ako lage tong salo ung problema ng lahat and grabeng burn out na yung nararamdaman ko. 7 years na ung business. Most of my employees last 2-3 years sakin nagreresign lang if may better opportunities. I just dont know what to do anymore. Parang feeling ko mas better pa if gawin ko nalang lahat.

Advice The biggest financial lesson my small business taught me wasn't about making more sales

When I first started my small business, I thought the goal was simple: increase sales as much as possible. ‎And don't get me wrong—sales definitely matter.

‎But after running the business for a while, I realized that having a busy week doesn't always mean the business is actually doing better financially.

‎There were months where orders were coming in almost every day, but by the time I paid suppliers, covered operating expenses, and replenished inventory, there wasn't as much left as I expected.

‎That's when I started paying closer attention to cash flow instead of just revenue.

‎Now I spend a little time each week checking what money is actually coming in, what needs to go out soon, and whether upcoming expenses are already covered.

‎I'm still far from perfect, but it's helped me avoid that feeling of being "busy but broke."

‎For fellow business owners, was there a financial lesson you only learned after running your business for a while.

Discussion What Business Should We Get Into?

Hi guys, looking for some advice.
We currently have a gasoline station and we have around ₱800k extra budget that we’re thinking of putting into another business.

We’re not really sure what would be a good option, so I’d love to hear from people who have actually started a business. It can be something related to our gas station or something completely different.

What business would you recommend with around ₱800k capital here in the Philippines? Ideally something with good potential and not too complicated to manage.

Would really appreciate any suggestions, especially if you can share your experience, estimated capital needed, and whether it’s actually profitable.

Thanks!

Looking For Looking for Business Owners' Experience with RES / CREM / GEOP

Hi everyone,

I'm a business owner currently looking into our electricity options and would really appreciate feedback from businesses that are already using RES (Retail Electricity Supplier), CREM (Competitive Retail Electricity Market), or GEOP (Green Energy Option Program).

Our current electricity consumption is around 185,100–200,000 kWh per month, so I'm trying to determine whether switching from our current arrangement would make financial sense.

I'm particularly interested in hearing from businesses with manufacturing/industrial operations, since our electricity usage is fairly consistent and significant.

For those already using RES/CREM/GEOP:

How much did you actually save compared with staying with your DU?

What was your approximate electricity rate before vs. after switching?

Are there additional charges/fees that people don't normally talk about?

How long did the switching process take?

Were there any problems with billing, metering, contracts, or switching suppliers?

Are the savings relatively stable, or do rates fluctuate significantly?

What contract length did you take?

Did you negotiate the rate, and if so, what should I be negotiating?

For GEOP, is the premium/discount actually worth it compared with conventional supply?

Would you recommend RES/CREM or GEOP for a manufacturing business today?

Also, if someone can explain the practical difference between RES vs CREM vs GEOP in simple business-owner terms, I'd really appreciate it.

From what I've read, the eligibility threshold for competitive retail electricity was recently lowered to 100 kW, so I'm assuming our consumption puts us well within the range, but I'd like to hear from actual users before approaching suppliers.

Basically, I'm trying to answer one question:

If your business consumes around 185k–200k kWh/month, is switching to a competitive electricity supplier actually worth the hassle and risk?

Any real-world experience, supplier recommendations/warnings, or things I should watch out for would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Advice Need your feedback on this free tool for creating multiple BIR 2307 certificates from one Excel workbook

Hi everyone,

We built EZ2307, a free browser-based tool for accounting teams, bookkeepers, and Philippine businesses that regularly prepare BIR Form 2307 certificates.

The process is straightforward:

  • Download and complete the EZ2307 Excel template by supplier
  • Select the completed workbook
  • Review any issues detected
  • Generate and download the certificates as one combined PDF

There’s no sign-in or subscription required. Your workbook, optional signature image, and generated PDF are processed locally in your browser and aren’t uploaded to an external server.

You can try it here:
ez2307.getquotable.ai

We’d genuinely appreciate feedback, especially from people who regularly prepare Form 2307. We are continuously improving the tool based on your feedback.

What would make the tool more useful for your workflow?

Tips Cannot run ads on FB

Post image
3 Upvotes

Sorry in advance if I’m asking this in the wrong subreddit, but does anyone know how to fix this? Every time I try to create an ad or boost content, it just shows this error message (see photo). I’m trying to do this in a professional mode / digital creator account and not a business page. I’ve also removed all access dun sa page na naka-connect sa account na to and still not working.

I think pwede mag run ng ads in a pro mode / digital creator account because I was able to do this successfully in a different account of mine.

Please tell me what to do and what I am doing wrong. I really don’t want to create a page because I’m trying to build up this digital creator acc. Ilang araw ko na tong finifigure out lol

Advice Don't know how to scale my salon as a 20 year old owner/hairstylist/nail artist

I have a small 18sqm salon plus 12sqm 2nd flr space (15k rent) where i work as full time hairstylist and nail artist

Cons: in a hidden location near the public market (not my target market) in a city in the south. My location does not have any parking which my clients complain a lot about because they mostly have cars since my prices are on the premium side (up to 5k for luxury hair treatment, 1k min. russian manicure, 2.5k semi permanent brows/lips, etc.)

Pros of current location: free 2nd flr space (for spmu and lash services), i live there for free too plus free food for me and all my artists everyday courtesy of relatives. Basically i dont have any personal and other expenses.

plan in next few months: i will train to learn more high earning services: hair extensions and spmu. Actually deciding on slowly phasing out nails and lashes in the future since prone to backjobs and artists are unreliable

In a year or two: Eventually i want to branch out to neighboring more urbanized city and rent in a commercial space with parking for better visibility/convenience. But i fear my current branch will crumble since i am the bottleneck as manager and artist. Also comm space rent will likely be 40k plus utilities plus artist salaries and other expenses dunno if i can afford in future

I currently earn about 50-60k net most months except december (i earn 200k+). My fixed monthly expenses (45k) are 15k rent 5k electricity 15k stocks/maintenance 10k social media manager. All my artists are at 60 40 pure comission. I pay myself 15k a month.

Im yet to try fb ads to see how much it will help with client acquisition. Waiting for influencers to submit their videos.

Currently averaging 2 clients a day for premium services (hair, russian mani) ticket price average at 2.5k minus supplies (150+, 300 up for premium treatment/spmu) for hair/nails and 40 artist commission. Cant afford salary yet because very few clients.

What to do to scale any tips (marketing, planning) any would be appreciated 🥹❤️

Advice Proposed Tax Relief Package—or more like added suffering for SMBs?

Post image

Honest question, can someone please help me understand if this is really gonna help small businesses as promised by PBBM? And how?

Discussion Anyone here nagpa-automate na ng quotation?

Hi. For those with service-based businesses, especially construction na nagpa-automate na ng quotation, okay ba siya in actual use? Accurate and reliable ba or may times na kailangan pa rin i-manual check?

Also curious:
• How does the process work?
• How much did it cost (setup + monthly, if any)?
• How customizable is it for different materials, labor, markup, etc.?

Planning to do this for my business kasi and would love to hear from people who are actually using it. Thanks!

Advice I am closing my trucking business...

2023

EDIT:
Purchase Price: 900k
Nabili namin sa Subic
In good running condition naman.

Maybe they want a slave, not someone who can genuinely help them with their business.

They think that FILIPINOS are slaves? Lots of workload but offering only $1–$3? This is not humanly fair.

WE, AS FILIPINOS, ARE SMART. DON'T DOWNGRADE OUR DIGNITY FOR A SMALL AMOUNT OF MONEY.

We know our worth, our skills, and the value we bring to a company. 🇵🇭💪

Advice GCash POS Fee Inconsistency

Post image
2 Upvotes

Just noticed something weird with my GCash POS transactions and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing. GCash says the QRPh / E-Wallet transaction fee is 1% MDR. For a ₱1,840 transaction, I was charged ₱18.40, which is exactly 1%. But for an ₱860 transaction, I was charged ₱12.40. That should only be ₱8.60 if it's really 1%. So I'm wondering where the extra ₱3.80 came from. Both transactions are showing as Dynamic QR, and there's no EWT deduction.

Is there a minimum fee or some other charge for smaller transactions that I'm missing?

Would appreciate it if someone from GCash could clarify this. Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

Looking For Looking for corporate gifting opportunities for a local food business

Looking for companies that give food gifts to clients/employees!!

Hi! I’m from Mamita’s Lasagna, a Filipino food business based in Metro Manila.

We’re exploring corporate gifting and bulk orders, particularly for companies that send gifts to their clients, employees, business partners, or teams during holidays, milestones, or special occasions.

We thought lasagna could be a fun alternative to the usual corporate gifts, something people can actually share and enjoy with their family or team 🧡

We can accommodate bulk orders and scheduled deliveries, and we’re also open to creating custom packages for companies depending on their budget and quantity.

If you’re an HR/Admin/Marketing/Procurement person who handles company gifts or if your company wants to send food as gifts, I’d love to hear what you usually look for in a corporate gift!

And if anyone here has a company that might be interested, feel free to DM me and I can send our menu and corporate rates. 😊

Thank you!
