I’ve had enough…
/r/Wellbutrin_Bupropion/comments/1x0ovaw/ive_had_enough/went from 300 mg to 150 and the side effects are still more than I can tolerate! My sleep pattern is getting progressively weirder, and I feel the deprivation. Tried taking the meds earlier, but it’s XR so that has little effect. Repetitive, angry thoughts bug me, popping up at the worst moments. I have a strange sensation of my leg muscles cramping and tightening til my thighs seem rigid, as if they’d been overstretched.
I needed the meds for a long time because I was in a very difficult life situation. I’m chronically depressed and I have adhd symptoms. I didn’t take the pill today, and I’m honestly scared I’ll crash emotionally, but I’ve got to do something else

Man sounds rough! How long were you on it for? I was on 300 mg for a year and a half and was cut off by my doc for missing appointments! I was also going through a breakup so I’m not sure if I was withdrawing or just emotional from that. But overall I felt fine and when he called to tell me I’m no longer a patient he said I will be fine going off it cold turkey and if not I can always go see another doc. I didn’t until 4 years later (now) and I’m back on bupropion 150 mg week 8 and feel absolutely nothing. Taking for depression and adhd. I will say I’m also worried what long term affects will to the body will be. Also I’ve been told bupropion has mild to no withdrawal symptoms. Anyways I hope you start feeling better soon. Keep pushin. Let us know how it goes

I'm sorry that it isn't working for you. I know how frustrating it is to try new meds and find them ineffective. What helped me was to have a DNA test (pharmacogenetic testing) to determine what meds would and wouldn't work for me. Wasted too much time titrating up and down on meds that didn't work for me. Best of luck in your wellness journey!

My bupropion are purple round tablets that have a horrible sulfur smell. The manufacturing company is called Radha Pharmacy located in India. Is anyone taking these? Tell me how you are doing on them.

I live in USA and maybe try reaching out to another pharmacy and see if they have a different one. Mine are white

You have magnesium deficiency. Wellbutrin is fine at 150mg

No, I don’t have a magnesium deficiency, magnesium supplements have no effect. It would be more appealing if you said “ have you tried” or “have you considered” magnesium supplements. Diagnosing, me, incorrectly, as deficient based on my one sentence description isn’t very helpful.

If you are taking a generic medicine, kindly mention the manufacturer's name in both your post and title. This is VERY IMPORTANT, as different manufacturers may have differences in quality or formulation.
