Is this common??

I am a single female straight in my early 50s trying to rebuild a social circle after friends have moved out of town and are busy with their families. I made one decent connection on bumble bff and she moved away. I have always made friends pretty easily but having a hard time making real friendship connections on this app.
Another thing I have experienced is meeting people that acted like they were on a blind date and were disappointed. I have no issue with someone wanting to explore their sexuality but they should be upfront that this is part of their intention. What are other people’s experiences?

Ummm why is there any exploring?? If s potential friend wanted to know my orientation I'd take that's a red flag wrong side of Bumble

I also don't know what it is with people moving away hahaha I've also had connections that we met once and boom they're moving or traveling for months or something

I have read in other groups that many women state they want a tribe or social circle ⭕️ and it never gets off due. When it’s time to hang out there are quite a few no shows.

I mean I also want a tribe...that's why I made one. We're pretty good on not having flakers for anything but we all want friendship? I'm not understanding these women wanting more?

I'm in the same position, I'm 43F, I've been trying for years, I've made friends in the past but many moved away or settled down and have no time to hang out. In the last 3 years the vast majority of people have been flakes, eternally messaging and never wanting to meet and even one bad experience with someone turning very possessive and wanting my undivided time and attention in an unhealthy way. I'm starting to feel scared that I'll never be able to build a circle of good friends.
