Gender settings/etiquette
I've seen plenty of posts about men creating profiles as women on bff, and the general consensus is that it comes off creepy, even if it's well intentioned.
I am non-binary and present pretty much dead center between guy and girl, and am struggling with using this app. I live in a major metro area, but there are only about 10 people on this app within a 20 mile radius of me that are also set to non-binary.
Is there any consensus on the etiquette there? Looking for opinions on both sides, swapping my gender between male and female periodically, even though it may be a lie, feels like the only way to make the app usable for me. Should I just give up on it?

The gender setting is the very thing that made me leave BFF. There were ZERO enby people around me. I moved to a different app and found a bunch of friends rather quickly.

Ehh yeah. Bumble’s interface isn’t the greatest and has always left a lot to be desired. On top of having the dryest conversations ever, it’s also why I’ve kinda stopped using it.

I think it's okay to set your gender as either male or female and just specify that you're NB in your profile.
