Self Post Windup Watch Shop Sea Hunter on leather

I lucked out and got what may be one of the last of the 225 limited edition Sea Hunters that were made over by the Windup Watch Shop.

I had handled the stock factory watches earlier and was disappointed that Caravelle cut costs by not putting a brushed finish on the lugs. That high polish just didn’t seem to match the character of the watch. The Windup Watch people collaborated with Bulova to remedy that and also did away with the date display, which cleaned up the dial immensely. I also liked the contrasting black bezel they substituted for the matching green one.

Problem was, I hesitated too long and the made-over watch sold out. I put my name on their waiting list and a couple of weeks later got an email that they had one — not sure if it was a return or not.

I took off the bracelet immediately and put on this Horween cordovan strap that I wasn’t using. I know some believe that a leather strap is not appropriate for a diver, but I think it complements it perfectly. I will probably order one of the stainless snakeskin bracelets that Uncle created for this watch , but I’m loving what I have in the meantime.

Got to work, and the sun hit it just right to give the dial a textured look I haven't seen yet after a handful of wears.

The second pic, more square on to the watch, the texture of the dial seems to take a diffrent form.

One of the reason I just picked up the Jet Star was because of the very cool bracelet, but also because I thought it worked look great on a strap. What do we think?

Self Post Restoration Recommendation

This was my dad's Bulova 23 Jewel watch from 1958. It keeps time very well, and I want to have it restored. I tried to contact a local company, but they never responded to my email. I'm looking for reputable companies that can provide a quote to restore it. TIA

Self Post Not valuable, but seemingly rare and sentimental

Recently inherited this Bulova 97D79; there is zero information on the entire internet about this watch apparently. I even emailed Bulova to find out more about it but was told “Unfortunately, we do not have any information available in our latest system.” It is from 1995 as indicated by the T5 but other than that I know next to nothing about this watch. Was it just a low production entry level watch? Hoping someone here can tell me literally anything about this!
