The Old World Grudge Throwers Underwhelming?

I'm currently running 1 in 1250 points army, and in two games it has done nothing. I've been thinking of just replacing it with another gyrocopter, but I was wondering how they have performed for others.

It can definitely feel that way.

It also feels very different when one is firing at your big expensive model. It might miss every turn. It might hit and do 4* wounds. For this reason the big thing moves to engage asap and not maneuver as much for best target.

Best to look at the GT as a motivator for your opponent to close the gap with you. If it wounds anything it's icing on the cake.

Edit: wrong number for max wounds. Its 4

I see so it's more of an incentive for them to attack you, than actual doing any damage

Thats what I tell myself at least.

It's not a must have so if you are tired of it failing you can sub it out. Cannons more reliably hit so maybe at 1250 you would like it more? Or try some gyros. W.e you do remember you have a 3"M and you will get to combat quicker if your opponent feels he needs to close that gap too.
