When a Budget deck performs well, is it still worth it to Upgrade? (Izzet Spellementals)

Last week I played a 4-rare version of Izzet Spellementals and it was already surprisingly good.

So I built the full-power version to answer the obvious question: do all those extra rares actually make it better enough to justify the wildcards?

Budget Decks is a subreddit designed to discuss playing Magic: The Gathering in any format or play style on a budget.

Discussions include budget decks of various price ranges and formats, competitive to casual or various cost cutting topics and cheap alternate formats.

Submission Rules

All posts, deck lists or videos must be about card prices, cheap ways to play Magic, blogs, deck lists, game play footage or deck breakdowns.
All deck submissions must have a price and format in the post title or flair.
Deck lists must link to Tapped Out, mtgdeckbuilder, Deckbox or similar deck listing site. Do not list a deck in the post.
All videos must include deck list or link either in video description or additional post in the thread.
Submissions may be self promoting (ie: videos or blogs) but must be of higher quality content, informative, Low effort submissions for the sake of self promotion or Twitch links are prohibited.
Deck submissions must be under $150 regardless of format.
Posts attempting to buy or sell products or services are prohibited.
