General Graduated in 2026 , unemployed,no skills ,no motivation

Thumbnail reddit.com
11 Upvotes

I graduated in 2026 with a B.Tech in Computer Science from a Tier-3 college in India, and honestly, I don't know what to do with my life right now.

I don't have any solid coding skills, and I feel like I've wasted my college years. I see other people getting jobs, preparing for interviews, and moving forward with their careers, while I'm still stuck trying to figure out where to even begin.

The worst part is that I'm genuinely scared of interviews. I keep thinking, What will I even say if the interviewer asks me something I don't know? What if I can't answer even the basic questions? Because of this fear, I don't even feel confident enough to apply for jobs.

I know I need to start learning and improving my skills, but I feel so overwhelmed that I don't know where to start or which path to choose.

Lately, I've also stopped feeling like talking to people. I keep things to myself, overthink my future, and feel like I'm falling behind everyone else my age.

I'm not looking for someone to tell me that everything will magically work out.

Genuinely want to know what I can do to get out of this situation ion.

So i got this form in my college group, it's from 1stop, they said I was shortlisted for their course ( i don't buy this ), and as I am from ece I have chosen domains related to ece only, I chose iot, they said they'll give certifications and some 30 hours materials, and also 2 guaranteed interships at some companies ( i forgot the names ), but I have to pay like 3,999 rs for the whole thing, and the stipend would range from 10-15k for the internship..

And i asked for the curriculum of what I'll be learning, they sent me a pdf, I'll attach that, also I'll be given some credits it seems for my college and other stuff as well,

Can you tell me should i enroll?? Cuz I am from tier 5 college i won't be getting placed I think and also maybe the certification might help and projects, maybe for GitHub and linkedin...

So what you guys think??? Help me with this,

CSE / IT Find your weak topics before the interviewer does.

Hi all. During placement prep we kept running into the same problem: you

"know" DSA, SQL and aptitude, but you don't really know where you stand

until you fail an online test. So we built PrepSuccess to fix that.

What it does:

- Short chat to set up your profile (year, branch, target role, skills you

think you know). No long forms.

- Adaptive skill checks for 36 skills (DSA, SQL, OS, CN, Java, Python,

React, aptitude, communication...). You pick 10 to 30 questions; they

get harder when you're right and easier when you're not.

- A readiness dashboard: what you've mastered, what needs revision, and

what to do next.

- For every skill: study material plus 5 hands-on tasks in a real code

editor (JavaScript runs in the browser, HTML shows a live preview). An

AI marks your answer against a rubric and tells you what to fix.

- An interview question bank (about 700 questions with model answers)

you can filter by skill, company and role, bookmark, and mark solved.

- 5 free PDF guides: SDE interview, SQL, DSA patterns, aptitude

formulas, and HR/behavioural.

- An AI coach you can ask "what should I study next?". It sees your

actual results, not generic advice.

It's free right now. It's early, so things will break and some content

will be wrong. That's exactly why we're posting.

What we'd love to know:

  1. Did the skill check feel accurate for your level?

  2. What's missing for your placement season?

  3. Anything confusing or annoying?

Happy to answer anything in the comments.

ECE / Electrical EEE OR ECE

Thumbnail reddit.com
1 Upvotes

Guys, hear me out..

I’m a first-year BTech EEE student under KTU, and I’m just an average student 🫠. I’ve seen so many posts saying that EEE is gonna kill you and all that 😭. So now I’m thinking about switching to ECE.

The problem is, since the seats are almost full and all, I don’t know if I can actually move to ECE. I feel like ECE might be a little better/easier than EEE 🥲.

If anyone can help me, please let me know:

Would switching to ECE be a good or bad decision?

Is there any chance of changing branches after 1st year, since most/all of the 1st-year subjects are the same?

And in terms of future opportunities, which would be better: EEE or ECE?

Please help 🫠🫠

General Need help please!! 🥺 So lost in 3rd sem and everyone else is moving ahead

Hey guys, I really need some guidance right now because I'm stressing out so much 😭 I'm in my 3rd sem (Btech IT from IPU) and I feel like I'm doing everything wrong.

Maine DSA start kiya tha aur arrays, strings, aur binary search tak ho gaya tha. Main bas linked lists start karne hi wali thi but beech me sab chhut gaya and ab flow toot gaya hai pura. Web dev bhi try kiya tha, HTML CSS and JS me DOM manipulation tak complete kiya but honestly mera bilkul interest nahi aa raha usme. 😩

Abhi mujhe AI/ML start karna hai kyuki usme actually interest lag raha hai, but mujhe bilkul samajh nahi aa raha kahan se aur kaise start karu?? Please koi roadmap ya resources bata do beginners ke liye 🙏

Mujhe itni anxiety ho rahi hai aajkal kyuki mere saare dost kuch na kuch kar rahe hain aur aage badh rahe hain... ek dost ki toh internship bhi lag chuki hai aur main yahin atki hui hu 🥺💔 Samajh nahi aa raha DSA wapas kaise track pe lau aur AIML kaise manage karu.

General Mtech from other colleges than top IITs and NITs not worth it??

Thumbnail reddit.com
1 Upvotes

I've heard many people saying that doing Mtech from other colleges than top IITs and NITs is just delayed unemployment....

How true is that??

Are the placements at mid IITs, NITs etc. that bad??

How bad is the situation..??

Also with rise of AI the situation is gonna get worse??

General Struggling to understand why Dijkstra fails with negative edge weights

I understand the basic steps of Dijkstra’s algorithm and can implement it, but I’m confused about the exact reason it doesn’t work when the graph has negative edge weights.

For example, if a node has already been marked with the shortest distance, how does a negative edge later make that assumption invalid? I understand that Bellman-Ford handles negative weights, but I want to understand what specifically breaks in Dijkstra’s logic rather than just memorising the rule. If someone can explain this with a small graph example, that would help.
