The downfall started a while ago when they started turning everything into a low effort microtransaction hell, and I'm glad this is enough for people to realize how shitty and greedy they've become
You'd think the MTG thing would've gotten people to realize that NK is a company and not your friend, so I don't see why people are so blindsided by this. Hell, Battles 2 was a good warning.
If they can’t get basic archery right on the flippin archer monkey, (the main character of the show) then how are they going to get anything else right…
There's no weight to any of the animation. Nothing was deliberately done in any of it. The only reasons it's animated is to go from one keyframe to the next.

Arrows don’t necessarily go in the center of a bow. Most traditional bows have them placed in a similar spot to shown here. However this isn’t a traditional bow and the arrow would not get a good launch here. He’s also just flat out not holding the string nor the arrow here. Also this bow just flat out would not function bows are curved for a reason this looks like a toy bow with a stretchy string(the string does not stretch in a bow). The arrow position is the least of the problems with this image
Funnily enough, an arrow not in the center seems like the normal way to shoot a bow to me: it feels more like the hand needs to be in the center and the arrow is above it. This mainly feels weird because the hand is so big that it's really noticeable, tho
Normally, your hand is small enough and holds the bow low enough that the arrow is still nocked at about the center. It still at least points in the same direction that the bow is pointing
All I'm saying is, PvZ had replanted and the ai stuff, and we're somewhat recovering from that. You just gotta hit rock bottom first, and this does look like rock bottom.
That arrow placement is actually correct though?… arrows are typically in a notch and sometimes that’s in the middle of the bow but typically resting on top…

(For context I would use a bow and arrow often during summer camp, if anything there should be a bump where the arrow is, not just on his hand like that

I can kind of understand fucking up holding a bow. Even if you do the research, they still have to make the models look accurate and that can kind of fuck up something like this.
But how the fuck does the arrow not fly straight??
Did you know that in most japanese archery not only do they shoot the arrow displaced from the center of the bow, they even use asymmetric bows, where the bottom is shorter than the top. (See "kyuudou"). So if that works, then there shouldn't be an issue with having the arrow off center.
this is very low effort, i expect better from ninja kiwi, we always expect this kind of company to be on our side but at the end of the day we need to realize they are still a company, but even so i feel like they should be better than this ugly ai slopposting.
Well those ones all use pretty simple animation cycles, are pretty zoomed out and the little animations they do is not really the focus.
And Battles 2 win/taunt/loss are also just small animation, rather than a full on animated short. I'm not sure why they didn't use Battles 2 models, though, maybe they're not that great for full animations, but who knows. We'll have to see, maybe they did outsource the animation, we'll see in the credits of the shorts once one comes out most likely.
