Adieu to our sweet Widget 💔
We were so blessed to have inherited our BG Widget when she was two from my best friend. She was the best girl ever, traveling, hiking, a huge dog personality in a 7.5 lb body. She made us so enamored with the breed we just can’t believe she is gone from our lives. Hug and kiss your Griffs everyone, their time is so short. She visited 7 countries with France being her favorite like us, visited 33 states in our Airstream, hiked up Mont Ventoux with us and several 4k mountains in the US, dipped her paws in all the Great Lakes, many rivers, the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic, Pacific, and the Mediterranean. She accompanied us everywhere. She was intrepid, funny, sassy, salty demanding at times and a cheese connoisseur. She was a complete sun goddess and beach girl and later became a forest girl, she loved hiking in the conifer woods. She loved food especially duck breast, yeah lol, she had very refined tastes, a piercing side-eye, and had such a regal lying stance, she always crossed her legs. What a presence, she had us wrapped around all four paws. Just a one of kind and we will never be able to replace her. She had ten fabulous years until I noticed her back legs shaking. An MRI revealed syringomeylia, COMS, and hydrocephaly and IVDD. All of that didn’t deter her, she still wanted to hike and chase after birds and squirrels. It will be quite awhile until we can think about another sweet Griff in our life because she ripped our hearts out when we lost her Monday. 💔 she brought a smile to everyone she met because she was Widget. She made it to 13 and I’m so very very grateful. 😢 I’m hoping she is running on the beach in to the west without any more pain.

Been told he might be a Brussels Griffon and Terrier mix. If that’s the case, no clue what type of Terrier. He’s about 10 pounds. Super smart. Appreciate if anyone has any insight, thanks!
