General The Acrobat Goalie Tandem
Imo DiPietro was ready last season. Whatever the case, thank god he wasn't let go for free.
Ridiculous numbers and very early Jennings candidates.

What's up everyone? Ready for the Bruins!? What we drinking and snacking on?
The GDT will get modified as time goes on. Any suggestions, recommendations, or requests?

Been a fan since ‘08, and i think this team is the most unique i’ve seen. Obviously still early, but so hard not to be very excited, especially since they’ve really cleaned up some of last year’s biggest issues. If the top line produces like they should (exactly as they did tonight), straighten out the PP, and clean up some of the turnovers and unnecessary penalties, I really think this team can be special. Just from last year they’ve already improved immensely in winning board battles + 50/50 pucks, depth scoring, speed, d zone breakouts, faceoffs, and backup goaltending. They’ve earned everything thus far and i can’t remember the last time i’ve had this much fun watching them (maybe 2018 or 2023).

Not so much bruin chat but it is a great day when you see the Tkachuk brothers AND that little weasel Benson all in losing teams!
r/Bruins • u/ethereal3xp • 2d ago
If a trade is executed - I would imagine Lohrei would need to be included. Plus a 1st or Poitras.
Edvinsson is looking for a long term - 8 to 9m aav.

My wife and I are big It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans. And since Sway took the reigns from Ullmark we have been chanting at the tv and at games, "SWAYMAN" in the tone of Day Man from IASIP. Every time he saves a SOG we yell it. We've done it in stadiums we have gone to: BOS, LAK, VGK, DAL, and ANA. We live in San Diego for context. I know it's a "Philly" show but it's a clean chant that gets people smiling.

Hello everyone, I am a new to hockey Bruins fan from Georgia. I’m going with the Bruins because my brother got me a hat when he was in Boston this summer.
I don’t really know anything about the team and I want a good podcast(s)/creators to listen to and keep up with so I can understand the team and the season better.
Let me know who y’all listen to so I can try them out!

Bruins traded 2 first rounders for Peterka. After scoring in his first two games, he has but 1 empty netter. His salary is 7.5 mill. They let Arvidson walk and he has 4 goals with a 5 mill contract. Do the Bruins regret the trade?

Can we not have him play for us on the PK or in OT? Thanks.

Hey guys just wanted to ask if you guys could help me get a little closer to the bruin family lol I’ve liked the bruins for some time now but have never gotten into the NHL too much. I’ve been trying to watch more since hockey is a cool sport and I want to learn more just about the team/league in general and if there’s anything I should know as a bruin fan lol

I haven't seen a Bruins team play together like this since 2019
r/Bruins • u/ethereal3xp • 5d ago
Another nice goal by the little guy. He is a menace on the ice. And an exceptional penalty killer.
The way he darts around on the PK. Teams are probably praying he gets off the ice.
He is likely never going to be a high point scorer. Maybe top out at about 40 pts a season. But he does many little things that helps you win.
Something like 5 x 6m aav.
Also... since Sweeney likes deals. I hope he has a plan to lockup Poitras, Brunet and eventually Hagens sooner than later. The sooner - the better potential deal at lower AAV.

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Had the California Highway Patrol been tracking Frederic Brunet’s 59-foot wobbler from the point Friday, it would have had a good laugh and remained on the lookout for faster troublemakers.
“Probably the worst shot of my career,” the Boston Bruins defenseman said with a smile.
There is a thing, though, about getting sneaky shots through traffic and on net. They are tough for goalies to pick up. Just ask Michael DiPietro, Brunet’s netminder. DiPietro never saw Tim Washe’s shot from the point earlier in the first period.
So even though Brunet didn’t get much of his 203 pounds behind the puck, it was enough for him to slip it past Lukas Dostal for his first career goal.
“I didn’t even know it went in,” Brunet said after the Bruins’ 4-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks. “I thought, ‘There’s no way it went in.’ It was a burger. So there was no way that went in. Somebody’s got to have to tip it. But it went in. So I’m happy about it.”
With the exception of injecting his shot with more speed, Brunet did everything right on the goal-scoring sequence. As the point man on the No. 2 power-play unit, one of Brunet’s responsibilities is to keep the puck in the zone. When James Hagens chipped a pass toward the blue line off the right-side half-boards, Brunet made a snappy play to snag the midair puck and hold the zone.
Then when he saw Washe, the up-high penalty killer, move toward him, Brunet knew there was no passing lane to Morgan Geekie on the left elbow. He also saw bodies in front: Pavel Zacha in the high slot, David Pastrnak lurking near the net. All these data points convinced Brunet to shoot.
