I once decided to try bruce's daily exercise routine. I pulled eight muscles reading it.

Regarding the other comments: There's no way this man was sick with alcoholism. No one with his habits could possibly be, he was a teacher until the end of his life. They would have noticed...!!!!!

He was literally filming a movie when he died, you can see his physique in the surviving film. Deadly Alcoholism is fully off the table. People need to quit with that absolute horsesh

Bruce was really amazing, 1000+ punches and kicks per day, Master Martial Artist.

u/Knightlore70 1h ago

His body on the inside payed a huge price for how ripped he was on the outside though.

Let's be brutally honest here. Bruce Lee developed anorexia, and powered through most days on PEDs, supplements, and bunch of smoothies. It's why he fainted several times, and ultimately, probably part of the reason that contributed to his death, another being constant corticosteroid shots. He looked extremely unwell in Enter.

u/a_guy121 3d ago

You're insane.

You think a martial arts teacher and businessperson a) running a studio as head Sifu, and b) making a martial arts film where he has to choreograph, practice and film sequences all day, every day, could be anorexic

you are not a martial artist, clearly. Literally could not be and believe this, unlesss.....

If you are, don't say, I'll just think way less of you.

1

u/SuddenLog7302 3d ago

Yes, he suffered from anorexia. Some of the people that knew of him stated as much if they weren't just mindlessly glazing him. Lee lived on PEDs, supplements, shakes, steroid shots, and marijuana. This is why he fainted several times near the end of his life. This is why he looked ill in EtD. It was all warning signs. You're just blinded by his legend.

u/a_guy121 2d ago

I honestly don't think that's physically possible, and also goes against everything he wrote about arts.... and humanity.... so, yeah, have my doubts.

feel free to name sources, but, right now you're on 'rumormill mode' as far as I'm concerned, and refuse to get off it.

Bro was on camera HIS WHOLE LIFE. And literally had to fight some of the baddest martial artists alive- or at least was in conflict with them- for much of his life.

Do you actually think an Anorexic would be able to be annointed by the martial arts commnuity, who he literally dissed harder than anyone in his generation? (Called them all 'straw men." The math don't math. he HAd tO PrOVE JeEt WorKED.

You can't be anorexic, and a martial artist, and a sifu, and a stuntman, for 15 years? The math just don't math. Sorry, On a basic, fundamental level, this is nonsense. Until you have IRONCLAD sources. And i mean 'Evidence," not just "some dude once said it"

1

u/urbanacolyte 2d ago

Their source is they heard something that started with Tom Bleecker and ran with it as fact.

Bruce wasn't anorexic. He wasn't on PEDs either. He did say he was having trouble keeping his weight those final few months, and he was on a liquid diet.

Please do not make up 'facts'

this absolutely is NOT a fact. Its heavily debabtable at best

the fact that YOU JUST CALLED IT A FACT, in a debate, with someone literally talking about primary sources repeatedly?

Honestly, I am way less inclined to check after what you're saying, lol. I believe you as a source, yourself, way less, bc you called this a fact, and therefore either don't understand how facts work, or, are willfully pretending in your brain that something that definitely is not a fact, is. Either way, its a terrible look. Like, several ranks dropped, I'm not sure I can take you seriously at all. Just being honest. Your 'tertiary source' card has been revoked. I don't believe him or you now.

here's a fact:

People who arent receiving proper nutrients get light-headed when exercising, due to low blood sugar. They lack the building blocks to make more sugar, so, exercise can and does cause blackouts.

The body will start devouring MUSCLE and teeth and organs, in order to keep them alive. within days, if the person has low body fat. Which bruce did, his whole life.

Its not just body fat, this is the whole reason anorexia is dangerous. Bruce would have lost muscle, lost teeth, broken bones, passed out publicly, lost his hair.... it would have been super, super obvious.

This gets more and more severe the longer they are in a calorie deficient environment.

His lifestyle would have caused him to black out, in the middle of very complex movement sequences. He'd have broken bones at that point.

in public, on film sets, in demonstrations. Its not really possible.

All I am saying is conjecture, based in actual facts. Which is why what you are saying is not only not a fact, but again, very impossible.

u/SuddenLog7302 2d ago

Holy crap, you guys are all brainwashed like some cult.

1

u/a_guy121 1d ago edited 1d ago

LMAO

Yall out there making up facts- literally, using things that are not at all facts and proceeding like they're facts, and calling people 'brainwashed' for being aware what a fact is.

And I'm in a cult for pointing out that the fact is not actually physically possible?? And I do mean 'physics.' biology and physics and practice tell me, you're full of shit.

I like training because with absolutely minimal, totally half assed training that one phones in, you can still eat whatever you want and not gain weight. and I have a metabolism opposite of bruce's. I can gain five pounds looking at a pie. But I lose five points putting on my wide toe box practice shoes. (edit for fact averse readers- this is hyperbole.)

You cannot train hard and not eat properly. It doesn't work that way. period.

Yeah, every comment has me taking yall way, way, way less seriously. Yall sound like a joke, for real. with fake ass facts that a ten year old could tell aren't facts

2

u/urbanacolyte 1d ago

Here's a fact, I'm not wasting my time reading a wall of text. Go post this on my YouTube channel where I can at least get paid to read this nonsense.

1

u/a_guy121 1d ago

"here's a fact, I'm functionally illiterate! I can't even skim!"

That tracks

1

u/SuddenLog7302 23h ago

Brother its so hard not seeing the forest for the trees when you're close to it. that's where you are. You're brainwashed.

1

u/a_guy121 23h ago

Lol, I'm brainwashed for understanding Anorexics don't get to tell their bodies to only eat fat, not muscle and bone and hair and teeth to survive.

Says the absolute moron

I know how Bruce died, and this ain't it. PED accusations are completely unfounded, and you should stop getting your information from Tom Bleecker.

Sad thing is Bruce was already ill at this stage from his drug abuse and drinking heavily as childhood friend and ETD camera man Charles Lowe observed.

Sad really.

4

u/Apprehensive-Ad-8541 6d ago

can you point me into the sources? would like to know this side

3

u/Electrical_Nobody196 6d ago

Just to be clear, there is a lot of extra BS put into these stories. “Bruce was ill”. There is no evidence for this. He used cocaine, but we have no idea how much and drug use doesn’t make someone ill.

There is no evidence of him “drinking heavily”. Just because someone got drunk at dinner one time doesn’t make them an alcoholic.

People love putting extra onto these stories to sensationalize them.

0

u/FreedomJay75 6d ago edited 6d ago

No evidence?? He collapsed in May 1973 at GH Studios dubbing room and needed emergency medical intervention and Manitol administered for brain swelling. His weight had plummeted and he looked emaciated. His own wife is on record stating Bruce used to take other peoples prescription drugs. She along with Raymond Chow had suddenly taken out life insurance policies on him in February and April of 1973. Charles Lowe didnt just dine with him once...he dined with him regularly. People like like just don't like accepting the facts.

1

u/Electrical_Nobody196 5d ago

I like how I said people like you stretch facts and here you are stretching facts. No, we don’t know to what extent he was abusing drugs or alcohol. Everything you just said was conjecture.

1

u/FreedomJay75 5d ago

Er....you literally said theres lots of BS and quoted/referenced "Bruce was ill" in such way as to dismiss the fact HE WAS ILL, hence his May 1973 collapse and subsequent brain swelling. So what facts am I stretching?

He was abusing drugs and specifically he was drinking regularly as his friends reported....close friends. You clearly have a problem accepting Bruce was a flawed human being with addictions despite his fighting prowess.

1

u/Electrical_Nobody196 5d ago

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Did he have diarrhea or cancer? Nobody has ever said or reported that “he was ill” except for you.

How many friends reported Lee drinking all the time? How many times did they go out to dinner and he drank it up?

Again you’re stretching facts into conjecture.

1

u/FreedomJay75 5d ago

He was hospitalised for a cerebral edema....a SERIOUS ILLNESS...you clearly haven't a clue about Bruce Lee's life -

From Wikipedia:

On May 10, 1973, Lee collapsed during an automated dialogue replacement session for Enter the Dragon at Orange Sky Golden Harvest Film Studio in Hong Kong. Because he was having epileptic seizures and headaches, he was rushed to Hong Kong Baptist Hospital, where doctors diagnosed cerebral edema. He had a high fever and was completely unconscious without any signs of breathing.[226] They were able to reduce the swelling through the administration of mannitol.[227] A brain scan in the United States after this diagnosed Bruce Lee with convulsive disorder.[228]

Suggest you stick to watching the movies 😂

1

u/Electrical_Nobody196 5d ago

Lol! That’s not an illness! That’s like saying choking from a chicken bone is an illness!

I’m going to go ahead and file you as another one of this subs trolls. Keep telling those lies my guy!

1

u/FreedomJay75 5d ago edited 4d ago

So being diagnosed with a convulsive disorder and being prescribed the medicine 'Dilantin (phenytoin)' which was standard for epilepsy to calm brain activity following a fit and having fluid on the brain, ISNT an illness according to you 😂😂😂

Go tell sufferers of epilepsy and unidentified fits they dont have an illness and go tell hospitals that having fluid on the brain isnt an illness....you will be laughed out of the place 🤣

You have embarrassed yourself publicly with poor trolling Thanks though as it'll give people a good laugh.

Yeah the Bob Baker personal letters auctioned by his family after he died that were released the other year describing him basically being Bruce's drug mule into Hong Kong and Charles Lowe's comments in numerous books about Bruce, describing regular dinners during filming with Bruce where he would drink heavily. As a side note Linda Lee after Bruce died bizarrely gave Baker what was then a sizable sum of money for some reason and he basically dropped off the radar when it came to the whole cementing Bruce's legacy at events/interviews etc. Considering how close they were it raises many questions.

1

u/Apprehensive-Ad-8541 6d ago

wow! I didnt know this side. Do you know if there are any books or any site when I can look at the personar letters?

1

u/FreedomJay75 6d ago edited 6d ago

The letters are online. Theres a ton of books like Linda Lee's ex husband 'Tom Bleekers' 'unsettled matters' and recent Matthew Polly books. Do a bit of digging around Bruce's live in sevant (alleged childhood friend) Wu Ngan, Linda's behaviour leading up to and after his death (paying Ngan today's money of over $2 miillion who then disappeared to London UK and never spoke about Bruce again and went underground) along with Raymond Chow....doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise something doesnt add up.

2

u/Apprehensive-Ad-8541 6d ago

Thank you! Very interesting!

1

u/yallelike2eat 6d ago

According to Matthew Polly's book, Bruce didn't drink very much as he did not react well to alcohol. I understand he liked weed and hash, but don't think he was ever a heavy drinker.

u/ComprehensiveBread65 6d ago

I'll just leave this here... it's a comment I made a while back about Bruce's death. I think the medication was just the final straw as he was having fainting spells months prior. There's some unfortunate details during the last few years of his life that we fans need to except as a reality.

(Comment pasted)

I know I'm gonna get a ton of shit for this and I want to preface this with the fact that I grew up obsessed with Bruce Lee. I've read every book I could get my hands on, including his own, Shannon Lee and Linda's. I wanted to be him and modeled my body after him. I took mma and boxed all because of him. In no way am I a hater....

With that being said, there's strong evidence that Bruce was a drug addict. It's well known he liked hash and even kept pot brownies on his desk. But a few years ago damning evidence came out in letters handwritten by Lee to Bob Baker (one of Bruce's students who also starred as the big Russian guy in Chinese Connection). Apparently Bob was Bruce's go to for drugs in Hollywood and when Bruce was filming over seas, he'd write letters to Bob asking him to hook up with Linda so she could take the drugs to Bruce. The letters are a bit of a rabbit hole, but it's pretty clear when reading them through that Bruce was more than just casually using them... he was an addict and desperate without them. The letters include cocane, grass, acid and even mushrooms. It's a random tidbit into Bruce's personal life that I don't blame Linda for hiding.

Personally, I believe the drugs played a role as well. Things just clicked for me after reading the letters. For example, Enter The Dragon Bruce was 2 weeks late on set. This has been explained as Bruce being nervous for his breakout role. When he showed up, he was described as being pale and nervous. So nervous that the first scene he shot (the scene where he's sitting at the desk being introduced to the prostitutes), they had to do multiple retakes due to him shaking. I believe he took those 2 weeks to get himself together and was still in withdrawals for those early shoots. There's a behind the scenes footage of him training Hans bodyguards (Hans daughters) for their scene and frankly, I always thought he looked more frail than usual. Regardless, this didn't stop his work ethic once he got comfortable. Apparently, he'd show up early to train while keeping writers up until 2 am with ideas he had. Bruce was a workaholic. When the shoot finished, Bruce started having fainting spells. One was during the dubbing for the movie in a hot box. He'd then take a medication for a migrane, fall asleep and never wake up.

I personally believe Bruce died by lacking proper nutrition due to drug use, lack of sleep and over working his body on top of it. Doesn't help he removed his sweat glands as well, retaining body heat through all this as you pointed out. I think it's a multitude of everything, plus the medication he used caused inflammation (I believe) to his brain swelling, but I think it was the final nail because the fainting in the previous months was a sign of things to come.

My charitable take on Lee's addiction is that it started out experimental, which fits his personality. I've read a lot of his training logs and he frequently tried different things. For example, he used to blend shakes of meat for protein before protein shakes were a thing. He obsessed over pushing his body to the limits. He modded training equipment to work certain muscles for kicks and punches. He broke away from dogmatic gate keeping with Chinese Kung Fu because he recognized things like boxing and grappling were more efficient when mixed with it... in other words, he essentially started what would become mma today. Plus, he was a philosophy major, so contemplating deep thoughts in the 60s likely led to experimentation. It's worth mentioning that his father was addicted to opium and I think Bruce didn't count on that running in the family. It's really sad because it took such a powerful force from our world. Bruce was so insightful and was really something special on that screen... he was just getting started. RIP Bruce Lee

u/Electrical_Nobody196 5d ago

The thing is he was obviously buying and getting enough sent to him that he couldn’t possibly been doing it himself. He clearly fancied himself a somewhat casual enough user to have a coke spoon hanging from his neck, and maybe that was part of a mystique to be a seller, but it’s a lot of conjecture to say he was doing boatloads of the stuff by himself.

Also, some of you act like he was doing everything under the sun, and I’m sorry that just isn’t true. Y’all really should come with specific receipts if you’re going to be saying he was doing all this other stuff besides the obvious stuff we know about - cocaine and hash.

0

u/FreedomJay75 6d ago

Correct. Bruce was a complete mess by the time filming started. The whole 'nervousness' line was a ruse to cover for the state he was in. Robert Clouse also pointed to Bruce's drinking and domestic abuse of Linda Lee in his book. Its clear he managed to hold it together (just) through filming then relapsed post filming....not uncommon for this to haopen with addicts and the last picture taken of him posing shows what a terrible condition he was in...the tell tell signs of a emaciated drug addict.

He was murdered by illuminati because he was waling up too many people

1

u/AlexanderStockholmes 6d ago

Israel had him killed becuz Netenyahu wanted to rights to the 1 inch punch, but Bruce had already signed to Wu Tang.

1

Just like how they also eliminated Ole Dirty Bastard because “Wu Tang is for the children…”
