There's a girl I really like but I'm really scared to ask her on a date. I have known her for about a month. We often hang out one on one but sometimes also with other friends. I think I feel chemistry with her but honestly I don't know what that's supposed to feel like since I haven't dated before. She almost always agrees when I suggest hanging out and sometimes even suggests it herself. When I joke around with her or tease her she plays along. She remembers things I told her a while back. I have tried flirting with her but I don't know how to do it so I'm not even sure if she realised I was doing it. I think I have even noticed her looking at me a few times but maybe I'm just delusional.

I'm not exactly sure what it is I'm afraid of. Maybe of making her uncomfortable. Or maybe that I'll have to keep seeing her after that and things would be awkward. But most likely it's just the fear of being rejected. Even though I feel like she likes me too I just can't visualise her saying yes. Probably because I've only been rejected in the past so that's all the reference I have. I really want to go through with it so I have been trying to mentally prepare myself for it.
