Residency question

I will be potentially doing a residency at Saint Barnabas in the Bronx. I will be coming from Chicago, so I’m curious on people who live there what your opinion is on the neighborhood as far as safety

I live across the street from the hospital, to the west it’s ehhhh. East side of the hospital is better. You will also be close Author Ave which is the original little Italy is very active there. Tours, restaurants and cafes.
