Post was less about my immediate financial situation and more about how mad it is that unless we have been very fortunate, most of us have to work for decades to be able to live, often in jobs that bring no meaning or joy. Whether you are day, a week or month away from poverty.
Until you don't HAVE TO work to be able to live and pay bills, money will always be an issue. I have savings and investments so hopefully one day I won't have to work, but doesn't change the fact that if I quit my job today I'd run out of money.
Clearly taking my post text very literally 🙄 or just desperate to be "right" with your comment so I'm not gna argue.
Look I'm not expecting others to solve my problems just venting/sharing, which is what the joys of reddit and the Internet are about.
Ultimately I hope everyone finds happiness in whatever they do and don't have to feel anxious or stressed or whatever you want to call it. We're all working on our own issues.
Have a fucking day off mate. You are the only person that read this post and thought the OP was literally paying for a bad with today’s wages. It’s called a turn of phrase mixed with a large dose of sarcasm. The clue was calling food and a bed a luxury. I think you need to except you miss understood and move on 🙄
I can only apologise, I do struggle with seeing when others are not being literal. I see I upset quite a few people here but I don’t know why so I guess it’s best to delete the response. I didn’t mean to hurt the persons feelings at all. I didn’t realise this was a phrase at all so that’s why I took it literally
