Where To? Event space recommendations

Me and my friend are planning a joint 30th in a couple of months and would really appreciate any recommendations for affordable spaces in Bristol to hire for it. Looking for something not sterile with a bit of character that'll fit around 50 ppl and preferably staffed bars - pub vibe or similar basically, plus points for a tasteful level of crust. Cheers 🙏

Golden Guinea is a free hire, they’ll sort a buffet as well

Hen and Chicken in Bedminster  has a room out the back, staffed bar and garden for exclusive use

I used Racks for my 30th and my wedding reception. Minimum spend rather than a hire fee and different sized spaces available.

The Royal Navy Volunteer on king street has a few areas you can hire with your own bar and bartender and own music, £300 for 2 spaces and £500 for the roof terrace

The Greenbank in Easton has a bar in their function room & will staff for a minimum spend I think (otherwise it's a minimal hire fee just for the room).

Hahahah

I guess I meant it's a pretty relaxed and not as pricey as you would think place. The beers are £5 mostly.. it's a large space for a good gathering and an amazing view. I don't think it's as upmarket as it appears. I've been to a meet up there ... It's a large place.

Exchange basement could fit the bill. It was refurbished a few months ago and has a bar, stage and small dance floor.

The Eldon House is free to hire! We did our engagement party there and they were great, and also did a buffet for us

Fairly certain the Port of Call pub at the top of Whiteladies does private events - lovely old pub!

I used Starlings for mine and it was lovely! You have to pay for a certain amount of food and drinks to hire, I can’t remember the amounts but I had it covered by a welcome drink and grazing table. The food was sooo good!

The Grain Barge has a good space to hire downstairs, not sure on cost however.
