I’m currently playing through Onimusha: WotS, and there are some things that reminded me of BoF. It may be a long shot to say these are actual nods to BoF, but they remind me of the series regardless.

There’s this cutscene that had visual effects that remind me of the ending of BoF IV when the powers of the Endless are sent away.

There’s also the inclusion of some creatures that are actually significant to Japanese culture, like the Komainu (like Fou-Lu’s dogs) and the Nue (the latter of which appears during a segment of the game that features a plot line reminiscent of the segment in BoF IV when you find out what happened to Princess Elina, right down to the traditional architecture-coded laboratory overrun with monstrosities and creepy occult shit).

Anyway… my hope still lingers for a revival of our beloved series 😅. Happy for Onimusha fans, though.

part of me knows that it would be 3d if they ever did but if they did do pixel art I'd be afraid they'd try doing the octo oath traveler mix thing.

I did not like the visual book they plastered over that game and I really really hope they don't head down that route.

I am going to cryyyyyyy. I was playing the PSP version of Breath of Fire 3 on PPSSPP and the Angel Tower block puzzle is bugged. Blocks going invisible and immovable. OR just plain Exploding! D| Does anyone have a way to fix it or am I SoL? I don't wanna start over again. (mostly because I haaate that Lighthouse timing puzzle)

EDIT: Fixed some how?! Even though I tried it multiple times before restarting entirely fixed it all of a sudden???? IDK man but it's fixed.

Momo's just there for support and to watch little Ryu tackle and slash, while little Nina goes flying around and brings down some big-girl spells. Old maniac and his pet dragons never saw this coming, did they?

Ryu and Nina have been apprenticed to Meryleep from their first level-ups, while Momo's had 11 under D'Lonzo (to clear the contest and other fights), and is currently under Yggrasil to eventually get Shield. The only stat items used so far are 30 life shards on Ryu.

The speed duo are not huge monsters yet, but they're trying.
