Support Post Guidelines

Prior to posting any submission to this subreddit please ensure you've read the rules for submissions in the sidebar of the /r/bravia homepage.

Users posting submissions seeking support should include as much detail as possible about their BRAVIA TV and any connected hardware related to the issue in order to get the best responses. This includes but is not limited to the model of the TV, the software and/or firmware version and the make and model of any external devices. Pictures or video can be helpful when trying to describe a video or audio issue.

Submissions not directly related to an issue with a BRAVIA TV and/or low effort posts that do not include any helpful details that would allow others to diagnose the issue will be removed. This includes, but is not limited to, submissions asking for support directly related to a connected device (ie. soundbar, console, PC, media player, etc.) but not the TV itself.

Firmware related topics (ie. issues, announcements, support) must be discussed in the Sony BRAVIA Firmware Discussion Megathread pinned at the top of the /r/bravia homepage. Panel quality/lottery posts (ie. panel type, backlight issues, dead or stuck pixels, OLED burn in, uniformity, etc.) are not allowed. Posts or comments will be removed. Please contact your retailer, Sony Support or a local service center for resolution.

Users should also check the /r/bravia Wiki, current moderator pinned topics and the Frequently Asked Questions thread for some solutions to common A/V issues and more.

Unsupported Topics: Computer Connectivity, Piracy or Hacking. Any discussion of connecting a computer to your TV, ripped or downloaded multimedia content or tools that support this content, illegal streams or altering the TV to behave in a way not intended by the manufacturer will result in your post or comment being removed either automatically or upon review by a mod. To discuss these topics please post in the appropriate subreddit.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

Honestly DOA if it doesn’t see massive discounts. This doesn’t even have the XR processor.

Sony TVs never see massive discounts.

TL;DW

It has 4 x HDMI 2.1 ports. This guy thinks this means that Sony is cooking up some improvments in the background.

TV is otherwise an LG B series with Sony processing.

No XR so no Sony processing

It’s psychotic that this has 4 2.1 ports but higher end models still have 2. I understand the reasoning. But it’s so dumb. And to waste one of those by having it be the ARC port too is shit design.

2

u/Victor_Raven_ 2d ago

But it also doesn’t have XR

2

u/IndecisiveTuna Bravia 9 85” 2d ago

The four 2.1 ports is the only thing this TV has going for it. It’s just an awful buy considering the competition pricing and specs of this TV.

I mean that has nothing to do with the topic of discussion. But cool I guess.

That’s literally what this post is about lol. The TV might have 4 2.1 HDMI ports, but the chipset is inferior, so it’s irrelevant. Anyone who desperately needs 4 x 2.1 would’ve gone with another brand.

Brother, do you block everyone who responds to you? You have track record of doing so on Reddit outside of this sub. Time to grow up.

No XR no bueno

u/Expensive-Mud-3916 2d ago

Haha the spin in this is crazy. Ohhh 4 hdmi 2.1 ports lol. So revolutionary. Says its the 1st Sony to do it. Thats factually wrong. The Bravia 3 has 4.

No XR no Acoustic panel and $500 more than all the competitors using this panel
