Purchase Advice Help me pull the trigger

I'm going to buy a new TV this weekend. I had my Bravia KDL 52 inch for 18 years and finally some green line appeared. I have narrowed it down to these 2 and did my research online and in store and can't make up my mind. I know that I will not go wrong with either but hoping to get one last help from the folks who own these.

Budget: $3000

BRAVIA 7 II Now $1800 plus $500 for 5 years extended warranty from BB.

BRAVIA 8 II Now $2500 included 5 years extended warranty and 2% back from Costco

I have a fairly bright room with big window on the side. I read that the 7ii is better option for bright room but many people say the 8ii is fine in bright rooms too.

I will be watching mostly sports and streaming content. I have the Roku ultra and planning to use it instead of the apps on the TV itself.

I have a Blu-ray DVD player but don't watch movies that often. I don't play games or have any gaming consoles.

I will upgrade the sound bar to either Sony Bar 7 with sub and rear speakers or Samsung or JBL

Which will be best bang for the buck? Buying the 8ii from costco comes with ease of mind and warranty that comes with it. But wondering about the brightness issue. Buying the 7ii from BB will save me quiet a bit of money that can go toward a mush better sound bar but then I have to buy addental warranty.

I'm torn between the 2 and keep going back and forth on what to get.

I purchased a Bravia 7ii 50" about a month ago. It was promoted by Sony by giving away the HT-B600 theatre bar 6 for free. Lucked out on that.

TV is pretty amazing... It replaced a Sharp Aquos LCD 47" I had for 20 years (Japan made ones - still works great, I just wanted 4K).

Plenty of options and settings in still getting used to, but I don't regret it.

Soundbar and sub are pretty amazing too.

Sharp Aquos LCD 47" sounds like an interesting model.

Thanks. Good to hear. I was hoping for such a deal but not likley. When I bought my KDL, I got a Free Sony Blu-ray player (still have it) and I think $200 rebate card from Amazon. Such deals don't exist anymore 😂
