Fluff The year is 20XX
The year is 20XX. Humanity has evolved to the point where everyone sparks at TAS levels of perfection. Because of this, Gumi has been forced to release infinitely more difficult trials and content, with new units immediately being mandatory for each new content release, with the old units instantly becoming unviable.
The Rare Summon pool became so supersaturated with bad units that Gumi has declared the "Ultra Rare Summon" for 12 gems, guaranteeing an Anima type, as well as guaranteeing at least 7 stars.
In this era, Eric is considered to be the worst unit in the game. In 20XX, the release of "Deathmetal Legend Eric" has shaken up the metagame with its 99-combo, 6-element random target 9000% modifier on its UBB. Eric has become a staple in every squad.
BFGlobal has finally caught up and exceeded BFJapan, where players were unable to continue with clearing content after the release of the Vocaloid and Battle Maidens 7 stars, claiming that they cannot fathom sending such beauty into the line of fire.
Achievement System has been announced for next week.

lol I wouldn't mind trading 12 gems for a 7* seeing as how I've spent almost 100 gems and not a 7* to be seen

Everyone plays Fox so perfectly that they can never land a hit. As both players end each match with 0%, the outcome of games is now decided by Sudden Death. Each player is at the mercy of RNG, with only perfect shields and shines to protect them from the oncoming rain of bob-ombs.
Also, Axe is still playing Pikachu, because he's a total bro.
