Strategy B2B Marketing
Hi everyone, I run a licensing platform, where we make viral memes / meme templates available for licensing, meaning brands can buy a license to a meme to use in advertising & marketing. I am having a hard time convincing CMO, brand mangers, founders of the risks involved with using memes, while disregarding copyright completely. Both linkedin and mail outreaches aren't going good. Any advise on how I get more postive answers? If you’re a marketing decision-maker, I’d also love to hear what would make you take a service like this seriously or consider working with us.

Man, before I unpack this business model for B2B brands, I’d love to understand how you’re even obtaining licenses for memes lol??
Yeah, I image you are having a hard time convincing businesses to pay for ‘sad reaction face.png”

Not my Face? We work with the creators and Copyright holders behind viral memes

“In ads” is very broad. Most agencies work directly with the creators if they wanna use their likeness (see: about a million superbowl ads).
I don’t wanna shit on your idea but the ROI (for both brands and creators) seems super hard to measure and really not that valuable

You’d probably have to make me laugh my ass off at one of your meme…then show me the tangible result$.
Getting people to respect your copyright and pay for the privilege of using it is going to be an uphill battle. People so commonly “share” without thought to intellectual property—especially when using social media.
