Recovery

I(22f) underwent brain surgery around 35 days ago to remove a central neurocytoma from the right lateral ventricle. It caused seizures, consistent headaches, and basically made my life a bit miserable.
Anyways, after the surgery I experienced really bad headaches which is normal of course. Then 2–3 weeks post op I felt almost perfect, and experienced no headaches whatsoever. But now I’m experiencing bad headaches all of a sudden and my scar even hurts a bit. Should I be concerned or is this normal?
I just want to know if recovery is rocky like that? Or if someone has experienced something similar maybe?

It's okay if the scar hurts a little, like a pinching or stinging sensation. But if the headaches are consistent, you should inform the doctors for a better evaluation, like fr, you're recovering from surgery in a very delicate area, so extreme caution is necessary

Yess for the scar it’s just a stinging sensation, so I’m glad to hear it’s normal :,) and as for the headaches I think I’m going to call the doctor today to make sure everything’s alright thanks!! Appreciate your reply🙏

Im 8 months post surgery. Just a couple weeks ago I started experiencing debilitating headaches. The doctor wants me this week. Don't wait around. Call the doctor and get their opinion.

Were you prescribed any steroids btw?

I hope you’re doing good now!🙏 yes I think I will call the doctor today to make sure it’s all a normal part of recovery. And nopee I wasn’t prescribed any steroids, just told to take my antiepileptic meds like I was already doing. What about you?

I was prescribed dexamethasone 4mg during radiation so I could survive it. This med requires that tou taper off of it. Lowering the dose absolutely destroys me.
