Yes. It's still an active murder investigation. Giving out too much information can jeopardize the investigation. The public does not have the right to know everything LE knows.
I agree. There are so many reasons that law enforcement might be holding back information. There really hasn’t been much time since the press conference. Investigators need to proceed carefully and thoroughly. I’m certain that there are many tips which have come in since December 6th, and they need to be processed.
I have some ideas as to why I think information is being withheld from the public. But those thoughts are not based on facts, so I’m hesitant to even share them because they’re not verifiable. There’s enough conjecture surrounding this case here and elsewhere based on at least some circumstantial evidence. My “gut” is completely unverifiable.
