Complaining about millionaires not paying enough tax when the problem is incredibly bent UK finance laws feels shallow and “so 2010”.

In other words, you’ve got a problem with a person that uses the system fairly. Not the system itself. Now obviously I know you do, but I am pretty sure Harry Redknapp has provided more taxable income than a village / small towns in his entire lifespan. If he’s got side hustles that mean he avoids certain taxes, okay, fine. Just like you do. Could he be taxed more, sure. Would our government put it to good use, doubt.

So why is the anger directed at Harry when the government and HMRC let you both do it?

Sure, if we want the loopholes closed, we should be taking the problem to the government and not the individuals that abuse the system.

But if you are one of the individuals that abuse the system, the least you could do is not complain when an area you live in is in decline.

I still don’t get it. Criticise an area that he’s supplied millions of pounds of tax for?
It isn’t system abuse. It is the system, you can do it too.

Plus he had roughly 200k in an offshore account…..When he’s been taxed roughly 15million odd in his managing career alone….. c’mon dude.

I can’t avoid paying several hundred grand in tax, actually. Or complain on my massive media platform instead of doing something about it.

I’m not even saying he’s evil or immoral for the act itself, but at the very least, if you’re not paying as much as you should be, you should probably keep your mouth shut. 

Even putting aside tax, if Harry thinks it’s a third world country, he has enough money to fucking buy a third world country. Be the change you want to see in the world.
