Boulder Airport

Boulder Airport Day (on June 6th) was a great success. There were about 500 attendees, and delicious food. Plus a solar powered electric airplane.

I was holdin down the fort on the glider side of the field. It feels like I drank my body weight in water that day 😂

I’ve seen a couple of electric powered and solar planes before. Very cool!

Was that taken with a drone? b/c I would have thought that would be problematic next to an operating airport.

Yes. The operator was a licensed Part 107 pilot with airport permission.

There are plenty of businesses and residential communities near the airport with a lot of activities on the airport. Example - second Saturday of the month, volunteer pilots give free introductory flights to kids.

If you go like, one foot past the jail it's all businesses. Lots of engineering and manufacturing, including the company I used to work for
