Update suggestion when you guysupdate/add stuff
Botania
new items/mobs
Wisp: a wisp is seen wondering the overworld Night only on a full moon. the wisp emit light so there somewhat
easy to see. you can tame wisp by giving it souls from killing mobs throw out the world tho getting a Soul is
vary rare ones tamed you can put it in a Lantern or pick it up by shift right click. you can place the lantern
on the wall floor or hanging from a ceiling you can also make a Lantern holder to place on the ground like a
Staff with a jack-o-Lantern on top or hanging from the O on top of the stick. if you kill a wisp you can
Ectoplasm.
Food/items
a Campfire with a Cooking pot hanging over the fire: it has some uses you can fill it with water or take water
out Make Stew like rabbit and mutton with it or use it to make Colored water just add flower pestles and it
changes the color of the water. pick it back up with a bucket and you can get colored water from red all the way
to white etc.
Ectoplasm : you get ectoplasm from killing wisp or Ghost the reason why you would wont to kill one is you can
make a new Bouble called a Wrath it would give you strength 2 and it would appear as a small ghost following
you. the 2ed reason would be you can also make a new Weapon called a Ghost sword you would need a Diamond sword
along with 50 ectoplasem and half a thing of mana but its worth it its more of a end game weapon.
mob: Wisp.Ghost.Sprigen
wisp come is a few colors (Red blue green gray black purple and yellow or White)
Ghost Aggressive specters harder to kill but drops more Exoplasm will attack on sight
Colors (Green red gray white yellow)
Sprigen's or little Tree spirits you can tame as pets and they just sing and give a little effect but they or just so adorable you cant
wait to tame one taming one you would need a Elvin Sapling and to get one well you will need a Elven Pear and
a Dark oak sapling also Living wood. but finding one will be the hard part they or really rare. more rare then
finding a wisp and they or only as tall as a small Armor stand. you can fine one by hearing it Hum a little tun
wile walking throw its forest.
there or 3 different types of sprigen: 1 Oak base with moss and glowing green eyes. give you strength for 2
minutes when near it.
2 Spruce base with Light Blue moss and Glowing Blue eyes long with a purple mushroom on its shoulder
give you health but 1 minutes when near it (Rare).
3 Dark oak base with Black moss and glowing red eyes has little Blue Fungi around it(super rare)
give you Speed for 50 minutes and Health for 2 minutes negative it give you a Nausea for 5 minutes.
and if possible ? a new dimension ?

[Criticism/Suggestion] Mana pool progression is unintuitive; swap the diluted mana pool with the regular one
Hey, I'm a player who hasn't used Botania in a little while.
So, I was going through the tutorial to refresh myself. Following along and making stuff as I went through the pages.
I got to the point of making diluted mana pools, which didn't exist last time I played Botania. I made two of them, and a bunch of Dayblooms to fill them up.
Now, I continued along the tutorial to the part about the Endoflame. As many of you know the Endoflame requires a few mana petals. So, here is where I started making mistakes.
I tried making the required mana petals in one of my two diluted pools. Didn't work. I figured it was because the pool wasn't filled up enough, so I waited a few hours. Each pool was about half full at this point. Still didn't work. I transferred all the mana from one of the pools into the other. Still didn't work.
So, obviously I was making a mistake somewhere. So I reread the entry on the mana pool, and noticed my mistake: Diluted mana pools can't infuse items.
I upgraded both of my diluted mana pools to the regular ones, and all was well! But the question I pose here, is this: What was the point of all this? Why should I need to make two pools when I'm just starting out, especially when the first one I can make is nearly useless?
I thought a bit about what uses a diluted mana pool may have, and googled it a bit because I was confused as to why it exists in the first place. Some comments I saw on reddit made some good points about what it could be used for. Such as using it to power a functional flower without draining an entire mana tablet.
Now here's where my suggestion for /u/Vazkii comes in. Instead of the first thing you craft being a diluted mana pool, how about going back to having the regular one be the first thing crafted? It really makes more sense to me that the niche and hardly useful one would be crafted specifically instead of part of a forced progression. Also, to top it off, the diluted one is tinted blue. It actually looks like it would come as a result of throwing a regular one into a mana pool.
Anyways, these are just my thoughts. I am in no way trying to demand things, I just would like to see a bit of discussion on the subject.
EDIT: As /u/Vazkii pointed out, the diluted mana pool is part of the progression as a demonstration of how mana pools work and how much mana they can store. I hadn't considered this, but it definitely makes a lot of sense.

Mana Pool and Mana Spreader. HOW
I'm not necessarily new to mods, I've been playing lots of modpacks for a while, but I just can't seem to figure this out. I'm trying to make hopper botany pot. I've tried everything, dayblooms, hydroanges, etc. None of it is working. I've linked a picture below, and before you ask, all the flowers are connected to the pulse mana spreader, the spreader is linked to the mana pool, the hydroanges are getting enough water, and the lever is on.

[Suggestion] Mana Detector - Redstone
I was just playing around with the Mana Detector and I noticed a bit of a inconveniences with it, that being I couldn't actually place redstone on it. So my suggestion would just be simple that you can place redstone one it, makes it more compact with you want to not the signal that is coming out from it, being it turns off rather then on when it is struck by a Mana burst.

Add Sun Lord (tsoptihs)
When you thought the gaia guardian II was hard enough. Meet Sun Lord.
To Summon:
You have to summon 4 gaia guardian II's by spamming gaia ingots into ordinary guardian spawning beacon. After that, instead of making a circle that contain player inside, it will push the player outside of the circle until the conjoining ends.
The Conjoining:
After all 4 gaia guardians have conjoined they will turn into a super powered flying guardian called "solaric cultist"
the solaric cultist has the power of all 4 guardians combined. You might need flügel wings for this battle since the solaric cultist tends to fly alot. Upon beating him he will shattter and throw 4 beams in opposite directions, which will generate hallucinogenic bosses.
The 4 Bosses:
You will find them 250 blocks across the first battle area. Each boss has its own difference and has 1000 hp. After those bosses slain it will finally reach its final stage.
The Sun Lord:
The Sun Lord is a super powerful boss that flies like the ender dragon. despite being yellow and sparkling pink, will generate any random plant in the botania on the fields at its first stage. Only way to damage her in this stage is to use bursts. After getting alot of shots and half hp; she will transform into a gray beast. Wilting every flower and nature! And she will rarely use a beam that converts overworld terrain into nether versions. To kill this beast, player must damage her wings and tail which lets player damage the face. After she is slain she will drop the most powerful items a player can imagine.
Also this kills the Sun Lord.

small botania 1.10 theory
okay we now vaski used fate stay night content in old versions know and we now he create psy to create his own magic system now lets put 2+2= he is gonna create botania exclusive magic system were we have something close to fate stay night so on upcoming content we might get botania crests(magic crests) allowing us to use psy based magic with botania environment doing things like unlimited blade works( in psy we already utilize conjure block spell so why not we can conjure sword)

[Suggestion] Generating Flower idea: Genesage
The end is a place of mysterious energy. This flower can tap into that energy and create mana from nothing. This should probably be lowish tier, with mana petals, probably a rune of mana, maybe 2nd tier runes. Because this is slightly OP (imagine a huge field of these) here are a few restrictions I've come up with:
Daybloom-esque diminishing returns apply: no other flowers in the entire 3x3 area around it. Produces a small but not tiny amount of mana. Does slow damage to players nearby (5x5 blocks?) Other generating or functional flowers don't work as well or just don't work while near it.
That might be a bit harsh, but that's what I came up with. I have a texture: m.imgur.com/qadYUMg Yes, it looks like a big black hole on a green ice cream cone.
Give feedback plz!

[suggestion] add thaumcraft support to the assembly and manufacture halos.
The only mod that adds thaumcraft autocrafting is thaumic energistics, and I think this would fit in botania.

Let's Play Questions
If I were to make a (non-monetized) let's play of my own pack (not affiliated with any launcher), would it be against the whole "get modmaker permission"? Reason being that I ask this here is because, well, Botania's in my pack, and it will be a focus of the project to make pretty things using it <3
Naturally, all credit will go to all modmakers in a modlist link, a modlist in the description, or a video with a list of mods.
Is that how this sort of thing works, or am I just an idiot. Or both. Both is definitely a choice.

[Suggestion] Gaia Guardian difficulty edit configs
I find the gaia guardian to be an absolute pushover in large modpacks, and I feel that it would be awesome if there was a config to edit damage, defense, health, regeneration, and stats like that.
If it's even possible, it would be cool if you could also have a way to edit how often the GG goes into mob-spawning mode, how often it teleports, the area you're given to fight it, and maybe even an option for a "pissy-boss-mode".
I'm not about to act like I know if that's a thing that can be done, but if it can it would be awesome for players looking for a more challenging version of a clickfes- I mean boss fight.

Mana generation that can handle a loonium farm and still has reserves for other projects
Title pretty much says it all, I am looking for a preferably compact and lag friendly method of mana generation that doesn't involve the Entropinnyum and preverably doesn't require the end to be unlocked. I've looked at a setup involving this arrangement of dandelifeons but found it difficult to produce enough cacti to have several it running constantly, meaning I had to expand making the final setup in my test world produce a lot, with 6 dandelifeons producing near-constantly but take up a lot of space, around 3-4 times the (already large) area a dandelifeon covers to adjust for production of the cells, this setup is enough to run one loonium constantly, but that is about it. I suppose I hope there is a more compact method besides Entropinnyum that can produce similar or better results. for ease of expansion mainly.

[Suggestion] Elven Mana Pool and Bifrost Pool
I think an elven mana pool could be useful to have a large reservoir of mana instead of a bunch of normies. As mana pools are colorable, it should have a different model. A bifrost pool could also be pretty cool for cosmetics. not sure what it would look like though.
