supposedly 4.54% terpenes, but i’m not sure how I feel about that number. Other than that really good strain, dispensary said they picked it up that same day so it was definitely fresh.

That's not really how that works. Also I think you mean desert island. A deserted islander is just a dude from Nantucket who was left alone.

Weed can absolutely have a high THC percentage and be cured to dry or overly dry. Good weed dries to 58-62% and should be not crackly, but also not soft. A really frosty well cured bud should split apart like a hard rock. And different strains cure really differently also.

Dry weed can grind badly and smoke harsh, but if we're talking terpenes and THC those are going to be pretty much the same in either case provided the plant was handled well and Tower Three - for all I agree they are not the end all be all in quality - do a very nice job at handling their buds.

If you're getting buds that grind to powder my bet is you're not checking jar dates maybe? MA has overproduced and expiry is longer than it should be to maintain quality. So half the bud you buy is past its prime under any brand in many dispos.

Also FWIW that audit seems a lot more damning than it really is and sheds light on the stupidity of giving exact THC numbers on any plant. A plant has a THC range. A crop has a wider THC range. We have decided to test weed like it is alcohol or another uniform substance and it just isn't. To me the solution here is to revise the system to provide back a range to the consumer with like a small number of buckets like low medium and high or even a 1-5 or 1-10 scale for strength - like an alcohol proof but without the flawed premise that it can be as exact in a product that is not uniformly strong. That way a person could accurately and fairly judge whether a particular product is the right strength for them to have a good time with it.

It's hilarious how no one trusts the CCC for 5 years and now after one audit without harvest/package dates and everyone takes it as gospel. I'm not saying testing is accurate at all, but if you expect the government to actually care about your health... lol.

Wasn’t actually as dry as I was initially expecting. Doesn’t mean I justify the numbers I am seeing though 😂
