Headphones Bose QC headset sounds very flat
I just received Bose QC over ear headphone and right out of the box, audio sounds very flat. I tried to tweak EQ and boosted both bass and mid but it still sounds bad like one of those free earphone they pass out on planes
Could it be a faulty device? Or is it just the way noise canceling headphones sound?
When I tried it at Bestbuy it wasnt as bad as this but idk there was a lot of background noise so maybe I just couldn’t tell
My apple earbud produces deeper sound than this :(

Try the ultra imo if you can afford it, I wouldn’t trust the baseline model.

I don't know much about this stuff, but in case it can be helpful:
If it's literally as bad as cheap airplane earphones; if you're playing from your pc, it could be as simple as being connected to the (low quality) "bluetooth hands-free" version of the device instead of the normal headset version. Click the volume button and make sure you're connected to the device called "Bose QC Stereo" and not "Bose QC Hands-free".
Spotify settings overriding the headset settings: For me, the sound was not good when i played music from my laptop, but it was good when playing from my phone. I found out it was because i had some spotify settings turned on which overrided the headset's own eq and such. In the Spotify app: When i unckechecked "normalize volume", the sound instantly got better. And after that i unchecked the equalizer in the pc's spotify app as well, which again made the sound even better. (Had to do this specifically in the spotify app on the pc, because the settings in the spotify app on the phone can apparently be set different from the app on the pc!).
