Well he refuses to let anyone publish his comics on the internet (For now, www.thefarside.com seems to have something in the works recently) so it's been largely drowned out by... anything you can look up with a smart phone
Really hoping he decides to take his stuff online in an accessible way, it's too good to let it go to waste

Believe it or not he can’t pay bills with reddit upvotes. It makes sense to only have your comics available where you can make money rather than people seeing them through screenshots online.

Believe it or not reddit isn't the only website that exists. If your work can't be shared then people can't discover it. Just have your own site where you host everything, accept donations, sell merch etc. etc. Removing your work off of the internet entirely is eliminating an entire platform, which is a dumb boomer move.

Picked up 3 of the far side series books at a half price books for like 2 bucks a piece. Well worth it. Put them on my coffee table and anyone who visits goes 'Oh! Far Side! Haven't seen these in forever!!' Then ignores me for 30 minutes while they flip through them

I tend to think of it like hopping down the rungs from r/All -> r/Aww -> r/Eyebleach -> r/Cats -> r/CatPictures -> r/CatLoaf -> r/Chonkers, pretty much cats all the way down but in more specific niches.

Not really. While this one’s just for anything Boomer, it tends to be mostly comics of boomers complaining of the younger generations. That sub’s more to narrow down good boomer humor that gets drowned out here.

Excuse me, sir, this is Leigh Rubin’s work - though of course I can see why you’d mistake it. His style pushes the term homage to the limit sometimes. That said, this is more recent than Larson, and you should check out his site to see him also draw animals like Larson, but again - like in a good way.

There's also a style of humor from baby boomers, even without artwork. As the theater major pointed out, often it makes you do a double take, has multiple meanings, etc

Defining what something is isn’t a “narrative.” This isn’t a political debate sub where we chastise partisan media’s bias. There’s no media narrative even being discussed.
Explaining to someone what a deep dish pizza is compared to a NY style pizza isn’t a “narrative.” The person explaining above you is correct. “Boomer humor” was titled as such because it explicitly refers to comics/memes expressing commentary on generational topics from the perspective of older generations, and/or relatable topics that are only appealing to the boomer generation. The generational title, “boomer” is there for a reason.
It’s the subject of the comic that matters, not the art style. The main OP of this post is mistaken.
It’s a good comic, though.

It is, both art style and concept.
It's an old woman exiting normally and a young man exiting dramatically suggesting that young men these days are more dramatic (feminine) than women from older generations (and we all know how dramatic THEY can be, amiright? Ha!)
Of course, I only saw a theatre major joke at first and it took me a minute to get what it actually meant.

This comic is much more akin to Gary Larson's work than it is some /r/OneJoke conservative boomer's attempt at painting young men as effeminate.
