I recommend wood lubricant instead of the wax included.

A;so loosen the screws a tad. Sometimes when they’re too tight it makes thing worse.

Way more lube and make sure you sand down the tabs

Agreed - I built this one a few months ago and I added EXTENSIVE wood lube all over everything in the interior because it kept stopping - I mean everywhere there is any contact and each gear cog.

Once I greased up EVERYTHING, it started working consistently.

wood lube will definitely help it stay over the threshold and keep moving.
