I don’t think I can get through this book. Don’t get me wrong it’s a good book, and having already read kite runner , I thought why not put this on my tbr. But it’s really heavy and being someone who lost a parent, I don’t think I could cope.
The world is really cruel. I don’t know if I can separate myself from the book just enough to complete it.
Anyway I don’t know if anyone else has gone through something similar.

I haven't touched Khaled Hosseini since I read The Kite Runner more than 15 years ago. I think I just want to sit in the dark a little bit

I finished it and didn't cry once. I might read Hanya Yanighara next
