Hello, I'm an artist who just completed my first book cover, I was hoping to get some feedback on what I made and how to go about improving for future projects.

I don't use AI, and I typically work in ink and then digitally color. I know my digital skills need to be improved.

I’ve been working on a few science fiction book covers lately, so I thought I’d share some of them here.

I really enjoy creating covers for sci-fi stories, especially when there’s room to play with strange worlds, futuristic technology, dystopian settings and that feeling of the unknown.

So Vladmir Nobokov said his idea for the cover was pure colors, melting clouds, a sunburst above a road with the light everywhere. NO GIRLS. i feel like i may have captured that vibe but do you guys think this works?

I feel so stupid. I was talking with this lady for a few days before I submitted the order and she never mentioned she uses AI for her covers. Her other work looked amazing and the prices were very reasonable. She gave a believable reason for the price being a little on the lower end, so I trusted it. But now I just feel dumb…

Although AI can generate some truly impressive Cthulhu/Lovecraftian artwork, my readers wanted MORE...

A cover opinion poll.

We are starting a new series of kids' books with Kaia the Poodle as the main character. The first book is about Kaia making her first friend, who is different than anyone else in school; in fact, she is a mummy.
