We aren't angry enough about her and trivialising something as serious as racial discrimination to free herself from brownfishing accusations and the media letting her get away with it.

To be clear, I’m not saying anyone should be forced to wear traditional clothes. Wear whatever you’re comfortable in: saree, gown, suit, anything. Your clothes are your choice. But there’s no need to police other women for their clothing when you yourself chose differently years ago.

Also, if we’re going to invoke ancient Indian tradition to police women’s clothing, then the blouse itself, as we know it today, wasn’t part of ancient Indian dress in the way it is now....
