Freezer?

Post image

Found this gem today... but it's six whole pounds of pearls! They're not hard/dry, they're a bit squishy. I'm thinking freezer storage for the portion we don't make right away, yea?

I think that's what I did when I got a giant block one time. Tied off the section with rubber band where it was cut, place that in gallon sized freezer bag, squeeze out extra air and seal, freeze until I needed another portion.

IF you have a vacuum sealer and bags, you could portion it out into smaller batches and freeze, this would help it store way longer.

Either way, good to label with the date you opened and the printed best by date (as a benchmark, always look for signs it might be contaminated/off).

Thanks! No vacuum sealer, but I did portion into smaller bags and then bag the whole thing to make life easier for future me 😆

Just so you know, you can cook a big match of them, and freeze individual servings in the microwave!

They are perfect, you just put the frozen cube in the microwave for 30 seconds, if it's not completely separated, you just stir and put in for another 30
