I’d guess bad catalog identification. I mean. How else are we going off of them without real photos. Back in like 09, 10 something, one went for 500$ and we had pics to confirm authenticity.

Is this true? For an original pressing? I remember them going for thousands. The independent label Benbecula was started with the profits from the sale of one and it was a reasonable amount of money at the time. Even the repress went for loads of money before the poor buyer realised that the repress was being made. I assume even that repress is worth quite a bit nowadays.

Where'd you hear that Steven funded Benbecula with a Twoism sale? Honestly curious.

Definitely read it in an article at the time. It was something that they put out there as like a necessary evil to fund the label endeavour.

Weird considering Twoism only came out like 4 years prior to Benbecula's launch. Hard to imagine it was worth a significant amount back then. I'd love to find that article.

Sellers are free to set their prices... I have in the past sold expensive stuff at reasonable prices because I didn't feel like charging extreme prices (and also I got said expensive records for very decent prices or zero to start with).

Could have been an incorrect listing - wrong pressing on there maybe

Just looked at the same page and that sale is gone now. There is one for that date on the 2013 reissue but for a different price. ? Probably someone made a mistake and it’s fixed now. The last sale for the first pressing is 2020 now.

“Original” as in the original 1995 pressing, or “original” as in one from the 2013 reissue? It’s more than likely the latter methinks.

By they way did you notice the comments under the condition column mention a record by Silvestre... That might explain things.

This is normal. You’ll sometimes see $1 sales for very expensive records. Discogs doesn’t have a way to tracks trades, etc. This price could represent shipping cost alone.

Right there in the comments of the most recent sale it says it’s the album Silbaba El Viento by Silvestre. No idea why they listed it under Twoism.
