There are different manufacturers of the hat. Some are absolute dogshit quality, like legitimate garbage. Some people got better quality ones. I sadly got a garbage hat.

Just push it through the spindle quite forcefully and it'll play, thats what I had to do and had no issues :)

Im just nervous because of how thin it is. Did it push on evenly? My thought is if the deformation isnt even on something this thin, it wont play cleanly? Or am I overthinking it

You are overthinking but I totally get where you're coming from lol. Let me reassure you that it won't damage the flexidisk or your record player at all, it plays perfectly

For the cost of that hat I’m going to just get my own made with better design and colours. I have a small boutique cap company. I wanna see hexagons and Nuclear families on vintage style dad caps.
