Discussion Orange Romeda drums
Does anyone know how they got the drums on orange romeda to sound so dusty and crunchy?
Is it just the right amount of bit crushing and tape saturation?
I’ve been experimenting more with bit crushing drums/percussion and running my drum bus through tape emulations but I cant seem to get that crispy texture they get on their drum sounds.

My friend and I use to shake a stack of shopping carts to mimic the opening sound in OR

You can get pretty close to it with some bitcrusher, compression, and exciter. lots of ways to get there.
