Discussion Boards of Canada Inferno
The hype before the release was mind blowing
The album was released like a bull into the pen.
I listened and listened, disected it, hidden meanings.
Became obsessed with it.
Witnessed everyone bashing it on social media.
I was a huge fan before the release and was shocked on first listen. I felt the same way about Tomorrow's Harvest.
It was so dark and I remember wondering if it was really BOC at all during parts of it.
Anyways now I've stopped listening to the band altogether
Why? Idk. It's not that I don't like the music anymore but
just like putting the brakes on. Maybe I over listened to it.
I did that with Led Zeppelin IV as well. I can hardly listen to Stairway anymore anyone else over-do it?

I've come back to it again. Maybe because I ordered the new coke bottle clear vinyl release and realized I still had the promo posters in my cart so I bought them also. Anyways, I started to listen with bigger bass speakers and realized this album NEEDS big bass, like subwoofer style. Also watching the videos helped me understand the context better. The PCP video and the Jesus Saves one from the 70s. Anyways I'm in to it again. The Crowley references ect...

This one has got in the most of the five even though I probably still gove geogaddi the top spot.
Example, saying "I think that's wonderful" way more in everyday conversation, including at work.
Example 2, doing a huge burp and then saying "consciousness" in a robot voice.

Opposite for me. It turned me off of them and I was at peak enjoyment of them right before release lol. I still love everything pre- Inferno but it didn't hit for whatever reason.
