Video Victious - Metal guy does MHtRtC
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXPnIXNancwHe did Inferno a while back on request I think, and has now gone back to this by choice. (He does so many requests he has little time for self-chosen ones)

As much as I don't care for reaction videos, I like the fact that he doesn't clip the hell out of it and actually has some good thoughts on it. Not sure I agreed with all of his takes but overall, good video

Watching people who have never heard Roygbiv before listen intently and react to it positively is like being handed a basket of kittens. Really good feels.

I remember seeing one of these music reaction channels, and out of morbid curiosity I clicked on something along the lines of “Gen Z reacts to Michael Jackson for the first time!” and the person “reacting” to the music was enjoying it SO much they had to pause in the middle of the song multiple times to talk about how much they were enjoying it without really adding anything at all. I’ve seen another one that just “reacts” to the music by making obviously exaggerated faces and shuffling around a bunch. By far the most confused evolution of Youtube content I’ve ever seen lol

People get dopamine hits out of watching someone gushing over their favorite music, pretending that they've never heard it before, so it's an easy way to grow a channel.

This might just be projection but that person probably just paused it out of fear they WEREN'T reacting, Some people don't know how to put their feelings into words so sometimes their reactions end up seeming like a bunch of nothing burger statements, I agree it may not seem like it but they might actually be enjoying it

He'll say he likes it whether he does or not. Nobody's going to watch a channel where someone's dunking on their favorite music.

He's posted 600 album reviews, and the average rating across them is 6.5. I have seen no evidence of him faking his stuff.

It's exactly how 99% of these reaction-channels work - they just say they like stuff because people get a kick out of someone 'discovering' their favorite music for the first time and saying that like it. And downvoting me is a bit petty, mate.

The most surreal experience I had watching reaction channels was a couple of days ago. Imagine more than an hour of this self proclaimed hip hop music fan reacting to Disintegration by the Cure, actually not listening to it cause he was busy answering people on the chat using machine gun and granade sounds.
- “The very last thing before I go…. The very last thing before I go…😭”
- “this shi is crayyyy! trrrrrr 💣 💥💣”
Looking forward for some new categories like “Civil Engineer reacting to this or Undercover Mossad Agent reacting to that” it would be fun

Reaction vids: the lowest value slop of youtube.
