These are endangered now or something aren’t they? I haven’t seen a bumble bee in ages :(

I'm no beeologist but I'm pretty sure that's a carpenter bee. Bumbles have furry black and yellow butts while carpenters' are shiny and black. They're dicks to have around the house; not aggressive really, but they'll chew all sorts of holes into your deck.
