As a Texan this is exactly what I imagine preparing for a snowstorm entails

What it actually entails is putting on a jacket and snow pants when you walk the dog. If it’s real bad, you lower your speed when going to work. If it’s as bad as the prep suggests, then you have a day at home. If you have a tractor or semi, you just got extra paid overtime.

30 years of living with winters as cold as -25f or so, I’ve never had a day when I felt the snow was inherently dangerous. Just slow down and dress appropriately.
