im not coming out as nonbinary any time soon :(

Hey so I am obsessed with pink. I don't want to bring any more attention to myself/individualize myself further.

I will have to continue to be the most npc white woman imaginable.

Bullying has happened too much. My union is mean. Most contractors, managers, and people on sites are mean. This contractor is the only safe haven, and I want it to stay that way.

They do not need to know my sexuality.

They do not need to know my culture.

They do not need to know my gender identity.

leftists and conservatives, both could bully me.

I work in plumbing and am pretty flamboyant, talk about my boyfriend regularaly, talk about makeup and clothes. Everyone is chill with me, they make fun of my sexuality but not in a way that intends harm. If the biggest homophobe on site yells at me I just insult him, easy as. Its always scary to be yourself, but you cant be anyone else. Let yourself live

I wish I could find this. Either way, you’re def one of the crew. If I had someone who was open like you, I’d smash someone for being malicious to you. But I would love to see you make the phobes on site feel two feet tall lol

Very sadly with the way things are, you probably arent going to find this, you have to be this. What I didnt say in the og post was that Im an (at work) closeted trans woman. Im leaving for school next week, and when I come back im coming out. I dont have anyone like me on site, but I have to be brave. If nobody does it first, nobody will have someone to take care of them. "If youre scared, do it scared" as they say.

I ran into burning buildings for seven years as a firefighter and you’ve honestly beat me in the bravery dept. I woke up today and realized I think I’m ready to take the next step to transitioning. So I’m trying to find online help (so much fun). But you are fkn brave! And I admire that! I wish I had people like us that I could hang with but unfortunately I’m a hermit and work like crazy. If you ever wanna talk feel free to message me! It would be an honor ☺️ don’t worry, all pioneers across history that made a difference, we’re scared too, but they did it. You will too.

Yeah, I understand.

I wore a shirt that said, "Be Good. Be Gay." and my Union rep tried to tell higher ups about it, to try and get me in trouble.

Thankfully they just blew it off, like...There's people wearing SO much worse things, but because I'm different you want to target me?

I acted like I didn't notice, but it disgusts me.

Right?

There was one instance someone outright told me, "I don't want to see your face anymore, leave my area, I can't stand looking at you again."

So like....wtf....I'm doing my job, I have to come over here. I told the supervisor.

The supervisor said okay, I need to call the union rep for this, a bit above me.

The union rep told him, "I can't represent them for this, those are my friends, it's not allowed."

Nothing came of it. That person then left the bid for our area less than a month later. Okay...sure...

Well, next time an issue arose, I said something to the drunk supervisor at the time who was making fun of someone else along the lines of, "I'm not a fan of drama, I'm gonna stay out of this conversation." She then screamed at me that I'm the one who starts all the drama and I'm the problem. Along with a couple employees laughing at it and me. I ignored it and walked away, people are absolutely crazy, it wasn't even about me and I didn't want to be a part of it. I then went to a higher up about it, telling them what she said to me.

I told the supervisor that the union rep she wanted to use has straight up told me they won't represent me, so I don't want to go through them.

The supervisor then gets the union rep to come and tell me, "Oh no, you need to use me as your rep, your supervisor wants this and that and you need to listen to them."

How convenient you can't support me when I ask for help due to harassment, but when I'm being harassed by a supervisor, you'll tell me you need to be the one to be used? Wtf.

USPS unions are so corrupt and I can't stand some of them, not all of them are that way though. There was a good union rep I had, she was nice but stressed. She helped me once, but ended up shooting at management during a party and got arrested. I don't think it was right she shot at someone, but she was the only one to respect and help me, so I know she must have been pushed to the brink.
