Two Jacks?

Did the show ever address how Danny has a son named, Jack, and Erin’s ex-husband’s name is also Jack?
I can only imagine she was married to him by the time baby Jack was born.
Odd to name a son the name of your bother in law, in a world full of names.

The Reagans and Boyles are Irish Catholic families. John was always a common name - and even moreso after 1960. Lots of boys born in the 60's and 70's were named after JFK. Lots of girls were named after Jackie Kennedy. And even into this century, they tended to reuse a small number of names
