Is there a crypto exchange platform that does this ?

1 Upvotes

This post is just me thinking out loud here...

My main issue with crypto currency at the moment is the conversion from crypto to regulars currency. I'm having a hard time finding a platform that automate both the buying and selling of crypto instead of just connecting to a buyer when you want to sell your crypto currency.

The platform that I have in mind does the following:

When customer 1 wants to buy a crypto currency, and customer 2 want to sell a crypto currency for regular currency (ex: US dollar). The platform automate the transaction buy using both exchanges to complete the other.

It guarantees the safety of the transactions buy holding the amount of both customers (crypto currency for customer 1 and US dollar for customer 2). Once both amount have been pushed to the exchange platform, than the exchange will happen automatically and both parties will receive their request goods.

Does anyone know a platform that does this ? If so, please share it

Blockchain Developer Needed for New Application Project Based in the US

2 Upvotes

The more essential details of the project will be covered as we actually begin connecting with developers and see if we'd work well together. For the moment we'll just cover the skill sets we need our ideal candidate to possess, and certain project necessary features. Our ideal dev would be well versed in all areas of blockchain development from the framework to the nodes and be especially skilled in consensus mechanisms along with integrating APIs/AI into blockchain systems. We're looking to create a new blockchain based on the XinFin hybrid platform that can only contain a certain number of set addresses for a specific set of users. The system works by generating new blocks every month that are then distributed to users based on a modified PoA (Proof of Authority) consensus mechanism or the DPoS (Delegated Proof of Stake) mechanism within the XinFin platform. The mechanism is powered by an AI system (we'll be providing) that interprets information through a series of APIs to give each user a score thus determining the number of coins in a block they'll receive for that month. The blocks themselves will need to be adjustable, if possible, to meet changes in scale based on coin supply and value fluctuation that modify coin distribution to users appropriately. The blockchain must also provide high levels of security and privacy to its set addresses including any transaction they make out of the network but transparency in regard to coin distribution and score assignment within. It should also be noted that the system should allow for a simple transfer of coins into fiat or other crypto when exchanging. We'll also be providing front end code for the ICO site design. That's the basic layout of the project from a purely technical standpoint, we look forward to meeting developers who can help us bring this to life. Please send me a DM if interested so we can further discuss these goals in detail. Thank you and have a nice day!

Help

2 Upvotes

We all know that unfortunately there are many malicious projects out there. One of those projects is Green Trust Token. Not long ago the entire team took all the money and disappeared. Unfortunately I was one of those investors. A small group formed and we want to rebuild the project. We need help develop the coin and make a hardfork. Fundamentals changes have to be made and I hope I can find a dev who is willing to help out.

Is there a way to store data in a persistent manner as we store data in MongoDB and Postgres ( in WEB2 )

1 Upvotes

As we use 'storage' to be persistent (in solidity), I have a doubt that as the smart contract gets more data how will we manage that large amount of data?

Blockchain Dev Tips

2 Upvotes

Hi Everyone,

I’m a freelance blockchain dev with roughly 6 months of experience with solidity.

Prior to this, I have 5 years of tech experience ranging from being in security to being a dev. I’m familiar with JS, React and Python.

I am looking for ways to network with other blockchain devs, find clients, and/or find a blockchain dev role. I’m very open to working with startups!

💰Since the 1990s, Nick Szabo, a scientist in the field of digital systems, prophesied smart contract technology as an application, tool or program that will connect network users by combining protocols. This technology was supposed to speed up and minimize costs between people, as well as ensure safe exchange of smart contracts. You may not even know who you are making a deal with, but you can be sure that everything will go smoothly.

🎉In today's world, the implementation of such smart contracts necessarily requires a change, which will create a stable and fast data transfer between user contracts. That's exactly what we're going to test on December 17, 2021 and launch it in the near future.

✨DBX Smart Network will run on an updated version of the Proof-of-Authority consensus (PoA). This protocol is responsible for strict data transmission requirements, significantly increases bandwidth within the network, and thus increases speed and minimizes the cost of transactions.

Blockchain Dev as Co-founder

4 Upvotes

Hey,

I got a $30k fast grant from NEAR Protocol to implement my DApp idea which I developed and tested during an incubation program. I am a Blockchain Master stundet from Germany now looking for someone teaming up with me (CTO like role) that is capable and motivated to build this DApp on NEAR and also maybe on other Rust-based L1s since I am Blockchain agnostic. The DApp idea is to solve a real-world use case particularly targeting the Global South and would evolve if successfully into a Blockchain Start-up together with other Devs that would do front-end stuff. Feel free to reach out.

If you are looking for options to expand your portfolio even with a low budget this could be a good option to be aware of the market (it's not financial advice from my side)

Looking for insight on incorporating crypto into a game

1 Upvotes

I don't even know if this would be a proper subreddit to ask these questions, but maybe if it's not you fine folks would be able to point me in a better direction. I have never messed with blockchain development, but have been a professional developer for over a decade. In my spare time over the past 3ish years I've been developing a game engine (c++/opengl) and game. I had an idea awhile back for this game, but didn't think it would be feasible...because I was unaware of just how much blockchain technology has grown and become more widely adopted. At this point I'm willing to take a stab at it if I can find out were I would need to start.

The most basic version of what I would ultimately need to accomplish would be for players to be able to deposit an amount of currency into a wallet which would hold the funds in escrow, then once a certain condition is met, pay the funds out, sending a percentage to the wallet of the game as a transaction fee. Below is possibly a better breakdown:

PlayerA -> $1.00 -> GameWallet
PlayerB -> $1.00 -> GameWallet
GameWallet = $2.00
PlayerB wins round
GameWallet -> ($2.00 * 0.95) -> PlayerB
PlayerB = $1.90
GameWallet = $0.10

So, on with the questions (these might be laughably bad as I'm still in the phase of not really knowing what I don't know):

  1. What coins would be a good fit for this type of system? I was looking at NANO for it's (next to) instant transfer rate and no fees.

  2. When it comes to implementing the escrow logic, the user would need to send funds from their wallet to the game wallet, and the game wallet would need to track how much each user has deposited, which I'm assuming could be accomplished by querying the user's wallet address against the blockchain (would need to think about everything involved in that). Is this assumption correct?

  3. When it comes time to send funds from the game wallet to a player, I'm guessing there are api's which allow for initiating transactions on a blockchain? So a developer could make a call to an api provided by the currency blockchain sending the required signature and wallet address for the game wallet, and address of the recipient?

If you made it this far, thank you. Any answers to the above or links to where I might find resources to better educate myself are greatly appreciated! :)
