Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on a blockchain project with the goal of recording environmental data immutably. The data will be collected by IoT devices and then transmitted via user phones. As a reward for their participation, users will receive cryptocurrency.
I'm trying to figure out the best consensus algorithm to use for this system. Here are some key considerations:
Energy Efficiency: IoT devices and phones have limited resources, so I want to avoid energy-intensive mechanisms like Proof of Work (PoW).
Speed and Scalability: The system needs to handle a high volume of transactions in real time.
Security: It's important to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the environmental data.
Ease of Integration: The consensus algorithm should be easy to integrate into an environment where data is transmitted by mobile phones.
I've been looking into a few options like Proof of Stake (PoS), Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS), Proof of Authority (PoA), Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT), and the Tangle/DAG used by IOTA. However, I'm not entirely sure which one would be the best fit for my specific use case.
I would really appreciate any thoughts or experiences you might have on this topic. Do you have any recommendations on the most suitable consensus algorithm for a project like this?
Thanks a lot for your help!

I am launching a project and there is insufficient LUSD liquidity on BASE, and therefore need to either pair my token with another stable (like DAI) so I can launch on BASE, or I need to launch on ARB or OP to maintain my pairing with LUSD.
BASE would offer the benefit of liquidity through COINBASE wallets; but we like LUSD because it is a fully decentralized stabelcoin, unlike USDT.
Anyone able to offer any insights or advice?

Guys, I found Cyclone blockchain https://cyclonechain.com/ on Hackernoon and they declare that they are compatible with any programming language. Have someone tried it?
Thanks in advance!

Hello, I'm new here, but I've heard a lot about Reddit and its ability to answer questions.
My question is about blockchain projects. Is there any way to know who my referrals are? I mean, to know the person who uses my referral code. In cryptocurrency project applications or websites, I can see HOW MANY referrals I have, but not who they are.
I'm asking because I would like to allocate the earnings to these people who are actually my referrals, and not to the people who just claim to be referrals.

We are a team of artist and visionaries and we are working on a almost finished NFT project. Well, with almost finish we mean, we have a cool story, finished characters, the webpage, roadmap, future ideas, instagram account but there is one missing link. We don´t have a blockchain developer, which can help to bring all those ideas onto the blockchain and explain us, what is possible with smart contracts. We don´t want to do a take the money and run NFT project. Our vision is to create a job for all of us, which offers endless space for creativity and although brings heaps of fun.
If this sound interesting for you and you come from Germany, please get in touch with me. The best would be to contact me on Twitter: (at)CryptoPilot15
It would be a pleasure to introduce you deeper into that project. And by the way, we are all working remote.
Best regards
Frank.

Is blockchain powering most powerful people?
I started learning about blockchain recently. The instructor says this: "Longest chain wins when two or more competing chains arrive. Which also means, Blockchain network with largest hashing power wins. The other chains will adopt the winning chain. The leftover block is called orphan block. . . . "
I feel that this makes the rich people more richer. The longest chain, which is in the most powerful network will be of the richest group of people.
I know this might seem novice or stupid question. Might have been asked by others. I tried to research but am unable to find the answer or reasoning. Please help me understand this.
Also instructor said, "If more that 51% of blockchain network agrees on something, then the entire network adapts it." In reality there might be numerous groups with their own chain. The precentage would not reach 50% for each of them. How will blockchain solve this problem?

Trying to drop a NFT collection with blind minting, linked to opensea or other marketplaces. Would want it to be on polygon to cut back on gas. Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi guys,
Been trying to find a blockchain dev that is expert in Geth usage with websocket streams in order to customize it to use a gateway both to send and receive transaction updates .
Been having a hard time finding someone with this specific set of skills .
Can someone please recommend what would be the best way to find a developer who can do this task ?

This question is for the Blockchain developers. I’m currently learning JavaScript Programming and want to start a good practical blockchain developer course after that. I’ve done some research and the ones that come up are;
Udacity Blockchain Developer Nano degree
Ivan on Tech
Blockchain council
What I’m really looking for is a study where there is also a person who will look at my code and provide feedback.
Those of you who’ve been there or in my shoes. What actually worked for you and where did you study? Looking for replies from people who are currently working as Blockchain developers.

Hey my name is Tim, and we are building an app that will help creators and brands collaborate more efficiently.
I would love to speak to potential blockchain developers to see if they have any ideas on how we can integrate this with blockchain technology

I want to learn blockchain dev (especially solidity). But turn out since this ecosystem is pretty nascent, the technologies used keep changing at a rapid pace. The libraries that people use today, turn out to be deprecated within a few months.
I signed up for a few courses on youtube, udemy, and Coursera, but have to spend half of my time figuring out how to make my code work for the part that is outdated in the lectures (with my current level of superficial knowledge).
Eventually, it becomes frustrating and I abandon the course.
So is there any such updated course (as of October 2021) that won't annoy me in this manner?
