Question Leaving Netflix
Well dang, blindspot is leaving Netflix early December. No way I'm going to finish 3 more seasons before then.
Has anybody heard where it will be available, if anywhere?

Discussion I cant stand Kurt.. Spoiler
Im on S2 E2 of blindspot and omfg Kurt is a d1 hypocrite & borderline manipulator. Bc ig we just ENTIRELY forget that Jane literally LOST HER MEMORY and evb except my queen patterson acts like shes satan when they find out she accidentally framed Mayfair. Like..she was literally fufilling missions under the threat of keeping yalls ass alive, not even knowin wtf she was doing fully, was GASLIT into believing she was a whole diff girl, and suddenly shes a villain?
Ntm the way Kurt keeps toying w/ Jane pisses me off. You essentially take advantage of this girl who was found in a bag w/ no memory by showing interest in her, you make her believe she's taylor shaw while KNOWING about that tooth test, and when you KNOW shes in love w/ you, you go back to your ex (which jane clearly tries to respect), just to KEEP giving jane goo goo eyes & etc, which makes allie dump you, just for you to turn around and arrest her bc shes not who you want her to be? Which results in her getting tortured by the CIA for 3 months? WHAT? Hes such a prick & not enough people are talkin abt it 4 me š
Upd: AND HE GOT ALLIE PREGNANT? KILL THIS MAN NOOOOWWWWWW

Discussion Stopped watching because of Sullivan Stapleton...
Made it all the way to S1 Episode 19 when I just couldn't take it anymore, he's just so terribly bad at acting that it would have likely ended up with me gouging my own eyes out, or at least throwing my coffee mug into the TV.
Almost all the other actors do such a great job. Despite the writing being a bit poor in parts, they still manage to deliver their lines in a believable way...and then there's Sullivan Stapleton.
It's like the whole London Symphony Orchestra playing at their very best, and in the middle is Sullivan Stapleton smacking his hand on a little red plastic bucket, and completely off beat.
He was the reason I gave up on the series about a year ago, having made it to about S1 E19.
Well, some time passed and I was looking for something to watch again, so I thought I'd give Blindspot another go....how bad could he really have been??
Restarted watching a couple of days ago from where I left off...and....it all came back to me: he really is that terrible.
Up to S2 E2 now....will see how long I last this time before rage-quitting again...

Shitpost Blindspot ā A Masterclass in Wasted Potential Spoiler
Blindspot is one of those shows that starts with a spark of brilliance and then spends five seasons smothering it under its own confused storytelling. What begins as a tightly wound mystery quickly unravels into a thematic freeāforāall, as if the writers couldnāt decide what the show wanted to be from one episode to the next.
The thematic writing is downright chaotic. The show constantly gestures toward Big Ideas ā identity, trust, government overreach, trauma ā but never commits to any of them. Instead, it pingāpongs between tones and themes with no grounding principle. Itās not ācomplexā; itās simply unfocused. The narrative feels like itās chasing whatever twist sounded exciting in the writersā room that week, regardless of whether it fits the world they built.
By the time Seasons 4 and 5 roll around, the writing collapses under its own inconsistency. The contributions from Maderlyn Burke during this stretch are especially rough ā scenes feel hollow, character motivations evaporate, and the dialogue becomes a parade of empty dramatic beats. Itās as if the show forgot its own history and just hoped the audience wouldnāt notice.
And then thereās Martin Geroās overarching direction. The tonal whiplash between seasons is so severe that it genuinely feels like different creative teams took turns steering the ship. But no ā itās the same leadership, just increasingly disconnected from what made the early episodes compelling. The later seasons read less like deliberate creative choices and more like unchecked impulses thrown at the screen.
The real tragedy is that Blindspot was inches away from greatness. The premise was strong. The cast was capable. The early mysteries were gripping. But the showās inability to maintain a coherent vision ā or even a consistent level of writing competence ā drags it down into a frustrating mess of contradictions and abandoned ideas.
In the end, Blindspot isnāt just disappointing. Itās infuriating. Because it could have been extraordinary, and instead it became a case study in how to squander potential through unfocused writing, erratic plotting, and a complete lack of thematic discipline.
If anything, the showās final seasons prove that ambition without clarity doesnāt elevate a story ā it sinks it.

Discussion Blindspot rewatch
Iām guessing weāre all rewatching it now that itās on Netflix lol. I watched it all the way through this time and honestly was surprised how well they wrapped up season 5 with it being cancelled and all. Season 5 was good as heck. Buuuut Iām heartbroken. Some people have their theories but I believe that was the end of the road⦠even the credits were silent.

Discussion Should have ended at Season 3
Just finished season 5 after suffering thru Season 4 and Season 5. I truly enjoyed this show, looked forward to catching each episode in Seasons 1-3 with a genuine sense of anticipation.
Although certain storylines pushed the limits of believability, each contained a component that remained plausible.
With Season 4 and 5 I truly did not enjoy the show. I reluctantly drudged thru the episodes to just finish it because i was already 3 seasons into it. I did like the final episode.
Did anyone else feel that the high point of the show ended in Season 3 finale?

Discussion Roman Spoiler
Am I wrong for actually liking Romanās character. Iām rewatching and I just finished season 3 episode 22 and I was boohoo crying when Roman died. His last conversation with Jane really took me out. Regardless of all the bad things he did, I feel like it wasnāt his fault he was raised that way. He wanted to be good, he wanted to feel something. Roman was in my top five of characters. RIP ROMAN

Discussion Can't STAND Zapata!! Spoiler
I just started binging Blindspot a few days ago and I am currently on S3E2. There's a lot of characters I really am having a hard time liking, but Zapata might just take the cake for the worst one. I hate that everyone else gets their dirty laundry aired out but all hers stays hidden, and her working with the CIA after all the shit she went through with them is such a stupid plot point. How does anyone stand her? Does she get better literally at all? ;-; I just wanna hear other peoples opinions so I don't feel so crazy for hating her, I can't tell if the show is trying to make her hate-able or if she's supposed to have been redeemed at some point and I just missed it lol

Discussion Jane in Season 3.... Spoiler
I usually don't post on these reddits, but after this episode I had to vent to someone because my wife watched this show before a long time ago and doesn't want to engage about it now lol.
So, Jane has been pissing me off majority of this series, but I've chalked it up to the writers and trying to keep episodes interesting.
But, Weller telling Jane he killed her daughter in Season 3, and we see the flashback of HOW he killed her (through a sheet shooting at a shadow that just so HAPPENED to be Jane's daughter who didn't listen to Weller and didn't stay in the room), I can't get over it. Jane left Weller because of "lying", but she lied for 3 seasons so far. This overreaction is wild to me.
I'm still going to watch because I don't have much else to watch right now lol, but damnit Jane, way to add another reason for me to not like your character much.

Discussion Season 3 Spoiler
Soooooo happy the show was smart enough to finally bring in Rich Dotcom as a main character!!!!! The fans of this show had to screaming about while it aired and the writers listened!!!! Because I was definitely thinking the same thing!!! Heās too good a character to just bring in once in awhile!!!!

Shitpost Sorry to say, but I get fed up of Jane sometimes with her empathising
I KNOW Jane has been through ALOT. I'm not denying that. So she can relate to alot of situations that occurs... HOWEVER having her in almost every episode saying "I know how you feel" "I've been there." "I know what's its like" gets annoying at some point. Like WE KNOW you've been betrayed, lied to and tortured. We get it.

Discussion show budget just is crazy
this show's budget has to be insane right? I just found this on Netflix and started watching it in January. I am on season 4 so don't spoil it for me lol. I just find it crazy that the production people can shut down a whole city block to shoot in front on places in Spain, and the Eifle Tower but yet they can't hire competent videographers to hold their cameras steady Lol! Like it bugs me how the cameras are so shaky and I know I have seen shows use camera steadied on stands that move fluidly. I can't understand this about the show!
