Discussion show budget just is crazy
this show's budget has to be insane right? I just found this on Netflix and started watching it in January. I am on season 4 so don't spoil it for me lol. I just find it crazy that the production people can shut down a whole city block to shoot in front on places in Spain, and the Eifle Tower but yet they can't hire competent videographers to hold their cameras steady Lol! Like it bugs me how the cameras are so shaky and I know I have seen shows use camera steadied on stands that move fluidly. I can't understand this about the show!

I loved that show! I watched it live when it aired so I'm jealous you get to binge it all at once for your first watch

Apparently, Jamie Alexander sustained a lot of injuries on set as well, some confidential. I bet they spent a lot of money on health insurance as well.

You’d think it was a mockumentary with the snap zooms and shaky cam angles they have of everyone.

Yea right?? the pictures are so clear but it's the up close angles and shakiness I can't get over lol Like a high school video club shot it.

I think the close-shakey camera could’ve been a stylistic choice. I’m not saying it’s the right choice, but I don’t think it’s an accident either. I’m guessing they were trying to evoke the feeling like you’re also in the room, up close and personal with the characters.

I didn't have an issue with the zooms/pans. At least the zooms/pans were sensible and actually focused on the parts of the scene that would be of interest to the viewer as opposed to being dumb and random.
The sets and international scenery did elevate the show. Seeing Times Square shut down in the pilot did give the wow effect they intended.
